Tuesday. That is definitely today. I'd go into more detail but basically I sat in on a bunch of meetings so my brain is toast...or a bacon butty. Probably the latter.

Looking forward to PAX, it'll be the first time the game will be playable to the general public and I couldn't be more stoked.

Tonight is LoveBucket practice. We are trying to meet twice a week to play through the game. I'm a little exhausted right now, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited. Truth is it is a good deal of fun playing through the game as a band. It makes you try harder.

They're saving Zeppelin for last. They learned from GH that when you're down to 4 songs and they end up sucking people aren't happy. With how they talked about it in the GI interview I think they got them. I'm hoping to get the new songs out of the way because they'll probably be the most dissapointing.

All of these things will be announced in time. The game isn't being released for 3 more months most likely, relax, and be patient. We've gotten so much news over the past month, we really have a lot to look over and keep us busy until the next bit of news comes around. I mean new videos and interviews are found almost every day, I think that is more than enough for anyone.

Yeah I have to be honest, this "where's the info" trend is getting a little old. We will release info regularly before launch and all of it will end up here. I am super stoked that people are excited about the game but the whole "we demand info now!" works neither to our benefit or yours. We have a schedule for this sort of thing and we give out info when it is ready to be let out in to the world for your perusal. By launch you will be provided with all the info needed to make an educated purchase.

Also why does everyone want to know everything now? It's better to get some info in small chunks at a time, gives time to think about it, as well as continuously keep Rock Band in current news.

It's called marketing, releasing a ton of info and then letting it be forgotten for 3 months is a very bad idea.

im sorry that in another game i know theres going to be over 70 songs, i know all the venues and over 32 songs in a game which is in direct competition with RB, but isnt even coming out until 2008! (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_Hero_3)

Yes, i know you have leipzig and all these other events, but with 3 months to go you'll know every song on there. But then again, the rumours are flying for a 2008 delay. If it is a delay fine - i see why the lack of info. But to have it so soon, letting your competitor draw me in, a competitor which you'll have a HEADSTART with, tell me more info is just stupid. I think there has to be a direct line between developers and fans, particularly with a game that is gonna be so popular, and obviously is by your incredible forum support.

You know, I wish the fans came first before the money. But hey, its capitalism, thats never gonna happen, so I'm just asking for a more direct form of info. Weekly perhaps, or in your blog, not more crap in it (no offence, I just read it to see if I can learn anything else bout the game rather than the "crazy" things HMX do... cough)

The only people saying there is going to be a delay are on this forum. HMX has not hinted in any way whatsoever at there being a delay, and by all records seem to be right on schedule.

E3 was about a month ago, and we learned a ton of stuff then. Why the rush? Most likely if you're here you will buy the game, or are strongly considering it. Come mid to late october, if all retailer indications of a November release are true, then you'll have more than enough info to make a decision. Even if you're considering gh3, in a few months there should be enough info to make the decision.

And don't knock the blogs, they really help give an inside look at HMX and the people there, things aren't always about the game 24/7.

Jesus, you're speaking as if the company revolves around you. I highly doubt one kid [who thinks the Beatles suck, no less] that's having a hissy fit over lack of info three MONTHS before release is going to have much effect on them putting out info. Stop being such a brat. GH is releasing all their info because they're afraid of RB and people are already aware of the series. RB is not as well known. If they release a lot of info closer to the games release date, it gets the media swirling and people are aware of the game coming out a lot closer to the day, instead of hearing about it now/forgetting about it when theres nothing left to tell us about in 2 and a half months.

Seriously though, stop whining, you look like an absolute child with a bad attitude here.

And with 3 months to go on a game, you usually have a demo out on Live Marketplace (though with RB the demo would be limited), and a very gd idea of whats on it. We know... very little other than the "Welcome to the Jungle" video which then got canned, only on youtube these days, and E3, With Peter Moore and Gamespot.

we are the customers. they are the makers. the customer is always right. basic marketing principal here. it is OUR attention the maker wants. so a few more songs would make me smile my backside off for a month, until then id want 2 more or something etc. then, near release we'd know all, which is at least 40 songs. so 2 songs a month isnt much to ask for.

but i do commend that HMX are listening, that we have a dev here in the forum, caring bout what is said. Its a gd thing. Now... a few more songs when ur ready my gd man :P

Harmonix has historically had issues with info leaks. Maybe they want to make sure they have everything in place, everything perfect before they raise our hopes just to kill them accidentally a couple months later. Why did welcome to the jungle get canned? We don't know, but thats a perfect example of why info leaks early can be bad. Raising peoples hopes only to have to kill them later on. If the vid hadn't leaked, nobody would have known, and nobodys hopes for the song would have been crushed.

The waits may be unbearable, but you've been insistent for two days and several posts that YOU WANT MORE INFO. And they keep saying, NOT YET. If you keep asking your mommy and daddy for something they say no to, what tends to happen? You get yelled at. Don't act like you don't understand why I and others are reacting, you're being a jerk, it's deserved and that's all I'm going to say. Again, stop being such a brat and wait it out, everybody KNOWS you want more info, but obviously trying to demean the developers isn't working, so stop being so vocal about it.

The customer is always right? This isn't McDonalds. This is us watching a game being developed. If there were no forums, no internet.. We would be sitting around waiting for magazines to come out with more info like I used to back in the day. i like what HMX are doing. But it is ridiculous the amount of time. It is a product. We need more info. End of. Plus, I dont "ask my mummy and daddy" i "get a job from people in the neibourhood then spend it picking between whether i want GH3 or RB since they're expensive". And guess what - I am a child. This forum isnt for over 18s, so expect children, because children are a major part of the RB demographc. It's not rediculous. They've hooked you so far, have they not? They're gunna run out of updates over at Neversoft, and over here, they'll be streaming more updates. All we know, as Sean stated, when the game is set to release, you'll have all the information you need to make your decision.

so HMXSean where do you stand on RB having songs taken by GH3, and is there a possibility it could work both ways.

we've seen threads on this, but i didnt see u comment. I do apologise if u did, but I just wanted to know ur opinion, if you may confide it of course, i dont know the legal implications of what you can and cant tell us.
