Me and my sister finally trying to do it... but after 32 of 58 we had to take a break. Her fingers falling off and my voice was getting tired.

Yep and it wasn't an easy feat. Me and my friend beat it on Expert, took us at least 3 hours or less, i don't remember. eat, go to bathroom, etc. before you do it!!!

Yeah, I'd say at least three hours unless the average song length is only 3 minutes... which it isn't. ;)

me and my friend played through 2 hours of star gathering then took out the endless setlist without a break. needless to say, we didn't touch rock band for a say or so after that.

My gf and I did it in 5 hours on Expert, but we stopped for pee/smoke/drink breaks. It's a LONG haul... but strangely enough, once we finished and went out for dinner, we came back and played some more.
But I can't imagine doing it straight through without pausing the game at least twice for breaks. My bladder ain't what it used to be, I tell you what...

That's pretty impressive, considering that the entire set of songs, played end-to-end with no breaks whatsoever takes around 3 hours and 50 minutes.
And that's not even counting the 25-30 seconds between songs that the console takes to just load the next one. So 58 songs, that's another ~29 minutes.
Call it 4 hours 19 minutes with no breaks.

we got through 52 songs with taking a few 2-3 minute breaks every 15-20 songs, and then the disc was unreadable.

Yup.
We all took a short break before the song, grabbed a few snacks, a drink, and went on the marathon without a break.
Not really that hard. My voice never really gets tired and our bassist and guitarist have been playing for awhile now.
Me and a buddy walked down to the gas station near my house and bought a NOS and a couple of Monsters and then we came back and ate dinner at my house, then we started, and finished with no breaks.
It took us about five and a half hours without any breaks. I don't see how you get 3/4.
The only song that really gave us that "MY FINGERS ARE GOING TO FALL OFF" reaction until GGaHT, but that was near the end so we were able to do it. However, we've been playing GH for a long while now and are used to playing a lot.
When he left around 11 or so, I got back on about a half hour later to play some more online. Fun stuff! :D

I've done it with NO breaks three times. once by myself on Expert Guitar Medium vocals. when I realized that didn't get me platinum guitar, I had my friend Nick over to play Expert guitar while I did vocals. recently I went solo expert/expert guitar vocals :)

I think I would cry if that happened...
I've done it, with no pauses because I was afraid of a disc unreadable error.
Anyone who says they did it in less than 4 1/2 hours (give or take a few minutes) is lying, it's impossible.
