Ok I have 3 songs left to beat the Game on Expert.

We Won't Get Fooled Again (Just can't do all the changing and that goodness)
Next to You (More WTF why can't you just do the same thing over and over)

But more Importantly:
Run to the Hills (Fast Part and on)

I just Can't Keep the Rediculous Speed up on this song. I've never touched a drum set so I don't know how to drum roll.

My Question: Is speed the only way I'm gonna beat Run to the Hills? Because right now after about 10 seconds I can't keep up.

Oh and if anyone has advice for those other 2 songs that would be cool too, although I think I can pass them with practice.

Run to the hills isn't actually that fast. You just think it's fast because you're trying to mentally draw in all the notes. Try to relax and just let your wrists do the work. Each hand is doing half the hits, you just have to do them in time. Relaxing is really important or you're hurt yourself and tire out quickly. Also, make sure your pads aren't multi-triggering.

WGFA is easier if you play by feel. Instead of trying to respond to the screen, just sorta let yourself get into the song. Again, relax. If you're used to rock, the pad hits will feel natural.

I'm far from perfect on either, but that's how I got through them, so maybe it'll help you.

My Strategy to beat songs that I couldn't was to Listen to them for 2 hours strait over and over. (on the Zune) then I could beat them. I had Trouble with Don't Fear and Dead on Arrival. Foreplay is hard but I've listened to that song so much that when I finally got to it on expert it only took 1-2 tries. Thought the Begining is another fast part that I couldn't seem to get down. I just barely passed it hehe.

I just can't keep up with Run to the Hills. I think my Technique is bad, because the other guy said let the wrist do the work but when I'm playing I'm pretty sure it's all arm that I've been using. So I must have Horrible Technique.

Ouch, that must be hard on your elbows :(

Try this: http://www.freedrumlessons.com/drum-lessons/holding-the-drumsticks.php

Ignore his crap on the traditional grip. You just want matched grip. (Your pad won't have the rebound his snare does either. You'll know the right point to hold it on through after playing some faster stuff with a lot of movement around the pads)

You should "Feel" the stick primarily between the thumb and joint of the forefinger, and secondarily between the butt of your hand and your pinky and ring finger.

For RTTH, I'd recommend watching some videos on youtube to hear the proper tempo. Here, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7Bk8kb7Pow At one part in the video, he drops the game's audio and you can hear the tempo of his drums whacking the pads. His wrist technique is a hell of a lot better than mine too. I burn about 200 calories when I play this song.

Ya my Arms are always sore, and the muscle on my shoulder blade hehe. I'll try this out and see if it's easier to play. Maybe then I can play for more than a few hours at a time.

I play expert/hard for 4-6 hours at a time, I am tired then but not sore or nothing like that. I guess it just comes with practice. I play real drums so that factors in also.

Practice on Orange Crush and Outside if you want to do a slightly slower tempo but basically the same thing.
