The are alot of AWESOME songs by Chistian artists. Theres not really a reason why there isn't Christian songs on Rockband if it is on the internet to download the people that don't agree, they don't have to download it. Here is some that other people and I would like to be able to play on Rockband. Check out these songs and tell me what you think.
Skillet- Savior, Rebirthing, Whispers In The Dark, Comatose, Riping Me Off, Cycle Down, Energy.

Disciple- Game On, Scars Remain, The Wait is Over, Rise Up, By God, Regime Change, Someone
Pillar- Frontline, Bring me Down, Fire Proof, Indivisable, Hindsight, Crossfire, Original Superman.

I already have my President, my television, and my idiot Congressman preaching at me. I don't need my game to do it as well.
I love how you left out one of the rare Christian bands that actually has (had) commercial success, P.O.D. (Evanscence would count, too, but Amy has stated over and over again that they are not a Christian band.)

I see you're a somewhat new member Nappymonster. Welcome to the forums! Just want to point out a couple things for ya on this topic. There have been a bajillion threads about "Christian bands in Rock Band" and the response from HMX has always been the same (below). Also, I would recommend (and perhaps request) using the "search" function when making a new thread about a topic you may think could have been done before. Reviving a topic thats been dead for a while isn't normally a bad thing if you have something new to add to it. And that way the thread gets your input as well as all the input from those that had posted before you :)
Some responses from HMX:
After one of the threads got a little..edgy:
"The reality of music is that most of it has a message. You cannot say "stop preaching here" without saying the same about music with a political bent or other message. The fact is that the original poster did not shoot this off to preach. Reasonable, well thought-out suggestions are ALWAYS welcome on the Rock Band forums. This thread will be locked. I encourage the OP to post the suggestions again without all of this senseless bashing.
Once again: this is about the music. Suggestions that bring genres and songs to the table will always be accepted here, no matter how badly the majority kicks and screams."
Different thread, after a poster said: "Im sure they consider all songs equally and i doubt they are going to base it on religion. The best songs for the game will get in."
HMX replied with: "That is pretty much the plan."
I don't post this in an anti-Christian mindset either, btw, haha. I've been a panhead since the beginning (in '96) and have listened to Christian rock since then. Project 86 "Truthless Heroes" is one of my favorite rock albums of all time, simply amazing (little green men = genius). I just recommend that when requesting Christian songs, don't label them as such ^_^ Its kinda funny, in some of the threads the OP (and others) tried to defend the music by saying "but the bands I requested, you wouldn't even know they were Christian if someone didn't tell you." If thats the case, then why did you have to title the thread "Christian bands"? haha People WON'T know that a band is Christian most of the time if its just posted as a request with a youtube clip to go along with it. I've done it a few times and guess what, the response is usually "I like it." (an Anberlin song for instance, another great band for RB). So yeah, just try to request songs as "rock songs" instead of "christian songs", for the sake of the requests actually being entertained by the community members :) Now that many of the christian bands have been posted about, the community is wiser to certain band names and may recognize it and immediately respond with something anti-Christian music-y but I think they would also appreciate the fact that it wasn't posted as a "pleeease Christian bands" topic. WE both know that so many great Christian rocks songs most of the time have nothing to do with religion at all and are just normal rock songs about whatever and that though the band members may be Christians, their music isn't necessarily focused on that. Many songs from Skillet, Project 86 (well, pretty much all songs from them, haha), and Anberlin are good examples of those. But people who don't know that very true fact automatically think that they will be preached to by Christian rock music when the topic is brought up. No point in trying to explain all that to people on here; just let them hear the music as rock music with no labels attached - since that is, afterall, what they are here for.
So, just my thoughts on it :)
and oh, I have kept track of all the Christian rock threads and all the bands you mentioned have been talked about before so HMX has seen them quite a few times now. Perhaps they've listened to some of it and they will make the cut in the future but they've definitely seen the band names posted more than a couple times. Thought you'd like to know :)

Flyleaf is a christian band. They have a song titled "So Sick" as a bonus song already on RB from day one. No download needed, and even non-christians have no choice in it being in there game.
How's that?

Seems to me that the "non" Christians are prejudiced & hypocritical...
So, it is ok to "promote" the pagan lifestyle (because you like it) but it "offends" you that others want music that they like, that might promote their lifestyle...
hmm, I thought that DLC was a free will issue and that you didn't have to download what you "think" you don't like, even though you probably would...
That is sad that you are so small & insecure in yourself that you would choose to limit access to what others want...
Let me take a wild guess here, you also vote democrat don't you?

I'm republican myself and i'm sure you pitch a idea for Christian band to one or two of the bigger wigs in the church you 100,000 who want it could buy it and be done with it... But by the by, just because I vote for no social programs, lower taxation, and strong national security, Does not in any way mean I want to come home and on the way see the ten commandments posted in front of the local court house... Pointing at others for being liberal is funny as you want to march on with Gestapo style and force your Christian rock onto a game... ROCK is all that should matter and if they are mainstream enough to impact enough people it'll make it on the game if not I guess that it's only got a Christian niche...
I would mention some Christian rock bands I know could make the game but every time I do I'm told that they are a group of Christians not Christian music... Seems hypocritical to me that the people behind the mic isn't good enough but they have to have a strong message not only inspired by Christian life but also preaching that life....
So leave the political affiliations out of it cause religion has little to do with political affiliation today my close minded friend and maybe next time you can put your opinion out there without showing the exact opposite evil you are criticizing...

Not what I said at all. I was addressing the "NOT AT ALL" vote on the question -
"Do you think that there should be Christian rock songs on Rockband? "
Maybe my response was also influenced by all the other threads as well. I have read a LOT of the discussions on this topic & the overwhelming sentiment from the "others" is that we want what WE want & don't want your "Christian" music to be available...
Ok, maybe the person that started the poll should have put another answer like - "I don't like it, so I wouldn't download it"
I am a belever, but far from a "Jesus cool aid" type. I also like the "bad" pagan stuff, Like Maiden, etc...

I'd definitely support getting some Relient K in the game. Be My Escape, Maintain Consciousness, and Forward Motion come to mind as songs I'd love to play :D
I also wouldn't mind some other Christian rock. I mean, I don't think it's that big of a deal if it's Christian *shrugs*

No marching, no forcing, just asking that people not expect to LIMIT what is available as DLC because it is not what "they" like.
ROCK is all that should matter... (edited)

Tru dat!
As for me being closed minded... Nah, just narrow minded

I would love to see some Christian Rock in the game, as you can tell by name. I think Thousand Foot Krutch, dc Talk, Stellar Kart, Underoath and many others would be great sellers. I gaurantee I'd buy them. And Harmonix, If you're looking at this, at least make one DLC pack for us. For those of us who want it, I mean. Everybody else gets their style of music, but we don't? I'm sorry, but that hardly seems fair to me. And this post is not meant to start any fights, BTW.

Thats just my opinion though...And we all know what opinions are like. I just don't know why people are so against it being DLC...You know you don't have to download DLC, Right?

I'm against it being a DLC because it'd be a waste of a DLC. We only get 3 per week, and not many people are actually going to spend money on these songs. Sorry, but most Christians I know (I am one, and extremely anti-Christian rock) hate it (Watch the South Park Episode - so true!). The results of the poll speak for themselves.
Sure, put some of those bands in, just make sure it's not about how much they love Jesus. My main beef with the genre, is that the band wants to spread the message, thus toning down instrumental parts for vocals. However, if some of these bands have something like I'm So Sick (Apparently Flyleaf is Christian Rock, I didn't know until people told me), where it has nothing to do with Jesus. That makes us all happy.

I would definately download creed. about the only good christian rock iv EVER heard. Family Force 5 sucks but harmonix would be getting theyr money becuz my lil sis loves them and we have to share our points. Also I am against religion in general, but music is music. Oh gawd how funny would it be if i just turned this thread into some kind of flame war....but yeah I would definatly download Creed

=/ Very funny. This isn't about our religion. It's more about getting music into something today that DOESN'T involve cop-killing and banging people.
