I like alot of those songs if it wasn't for the use of Run To the Hills by Maiden twice, I'd play that.

Although I hate half, and love half of those songs. It's very realistic and I wouldn't be surprised to see most of those songs in Rock Band. Except for one thing. The final Encore. It seems kinda unlikely. The Final Encore is a very VERY hard thing to get. It has to be a song that EVERYONE will love. But at the same time, be very challenging. Like Bark at the moon. Everyone likes Ozzy. And it's fast and challenging. Freebird, everyone loves fast solos, but not mindless like Dragonforce's stuff. So it's a really hard call for the Final Encore.

You have some doubles and if you want, you could add one or two to each set. You have 39 songs listed, but there are going to be like 50-60.

jq71586: Heh, thanks for the heads up, I switched in some Sex Pistols. ;)

Akaymay: Well, a nine minute long song definately seems like a climactic ending, though you might be right, and "Won't Get Fooled Again" will probably be the "Jordan" of RB...Okay, maybe not "Jordan", but it'll be one of those 'harder-to-finish' songs, so I'll just conclude that it's somewhere in the final tier.

dlisapussy: Doubles? Where? Oh and, from what I heard, the game disc is going to include 40 songs. Not including DLC tracks and albums.

is it not 40 plus bonus Songs? I mean if you look on the website under song list it says 40

also I think "Won't Get fooled Again" would be a good encore especially when he screams "YEA!" near the end

I really don't think anyone has confirmed there being bonus songs in the game, but it probably will have some bonus songs, you know with the mindless drum solos, and death metal growls. :D

...And yes, I can't wait to play "Won't Get Fooled Again" either, and break my wrists from 9 minutes of intense drumming. :O

Well, the Hives are a semi-unknown band, and they're in RB, maybe they just want to put some indie bands in the actual game. Oh well, whatev, hasn't really been confirmed anyway.

I have no idea really. I guess I kinda' used some songs as placeholders. It's fixed now, though.

And does anyone have any actual comments related to the songs on my setlist? :(

And does anyone have any actual comments related to the songs on my setlist? :( I'd rather see I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges and Silver Rocket by Sonic Youth, but your choices are good, too, and both those bands are godly. Nice call on Somebody To Love. Lordi ****ing suck, but besides them there's nothing bad on there that's terrible. I'd be happy with that setlist.

I tottaly play that!!!!!!!
Nice list
and nice use of the songs already in the game.

Heh, thanks.

Replaced Break On Through with Sell Out by Reel Big Fish. Break On Through is an awesome song, but it doesn't have any bass. Plus, there needs to be atleast one ska song in RB, 'amirite?

Also, opinions PLEASE. :P

This is a really good list! I would take out Hole. I hate them, and change the Maiden song. I'm picky about my Maiden. Perhaps, Hallowed Be Thy Name?

Heh, well Hole's decent to say the least, and I had to put in another female sang song to, you know, even it out. Oh and don't even mention Joan Jett or the Go Go's. Gah.

And now that I think of it Hallowed Be Thy Name would be perfect for RB, especially as an encore.

...keep the opinions coming. :D

1. Opening Licks
Queen of Apology - The Sounds
Say It Ain't So - Weezer *
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen Bah. Too much empty spaces where only one instrument is playing. Sure, the bassline's good, but it's also horribly repetitive. Get some Seven Seas of Rhye, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, or I Want it All
Jailbreak - AC/DC
Encore: Wanted Dead Or Alive - Bon Jovi *

2. Amp-Warmers
Basket Case - Green Day Tier 2? This is easier than I Love Rock and Roll and it's in Tier 2??? Replace this with either Welcome to Paradise or I Fought the Law
All Day All Night - Girlschool
London Calling - The Clash
Hysteria - Muse Bleh. Over rated. Get The Small Print or Futurism
Encore: Walk This Way - Aerosmith Duuuude Looks Like A Lay-day!

3. String-Snappers
I Love It Loud - KISS
In Bloom - Nirvana *
1969 - The Stooges
Go With The Flow - Queens of The Stone Age *
Encore: Loud Love - Soundgarden

4. Thrash and Burn
Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots *
Learn To Fly - The Foo Fighters *
Sell Out - Reel Big Fish
Celebrity Skin - Hole
Encore: Main Offender - The Hives *

5. Return of the Shred
Enter Sandman - Metallica *
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
Somebody To Love - Jefferson Airplane
Paranoid - Black Sabbath *
Encore: Suffragette City - David Bowie *

6. Relentless Riffs
Dr. Phibes Rises Again - The Misfits
Holy Roller - Mother Love Bone
Aeroplane - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Reptillia - The Strokes *
Encore: Ocean Size - Jane's Addiction

7. Furious Fretwork
Sultans Of Swing - Dire Straits
Paradise City - Guns N' Roses
Tom Sawyer - Rush *
Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Encore: Hallowed Be Thy Name - Iron Maiden I believe you mean "Where Eagles Dare"

8. Face-Melters
Black Magic Woman - Santana
Mississippi Queen - Mountain *
Don't Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult *
Rock N' Roll - Led Zeppelin Right on!
Final Encore: Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who *

DLC Albums:
Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin Most excellent, pip pip cheerio
London Calling - The Clash
Sultans of Swing: The Very Best of Dire Straits - Dire Straits
Metallica - Metallica *
Who's Next - The Who *
Nevermind - Nirvana *

My opinions are superior! :^{(

Also, if you want another female vocalist:

Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker or Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker or Hit Me With Your Best Shot

No. Never. Not in a million years. I've always found her music corny even to this day. :( Honestly, Hole would fit in better than Pat. Really.

...and Hysteria may be overrated but it's still awesome. And Another One Bites The Dust would be an awesome First Tier song, but I'm leaning towards 'I Want It All' now that you mentioned it... And 'Dude (Looks Like A Lady)' is sort of boring and repetitive in comparison to 'Walk This Way'.

Oh and thanks for the heads up on Welcome To Paradise. :D

mor comentz plz!!11! :D

Fall Behind Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=995R8OwDQs4) by The Donnas, maybe?

No. Hole is staying.

...Hey, The Donna's have already been in GH1, so it'd be good for a little bit of diversity. :o

Bump.

Updated the list with the 10 new announced songs. :D

...and holy crap, I had Are You Gonna' Be My Girl by Jet on the list before it was confirmed, and they confirmed it. I had a hunch that it was gonna be in RB. :D

WingsOfSteel
08-22-2007, 07:09 AM
Isn't Blitzkrieg Bop also confirmed for RB?

And Gimme Shelter should be at least Tier 2, IMO.

viru30
08-22-2007, 07:12 AM
Huh? I don't think there'll be two songs from the same band, Rockaway Beach by The Ramones is already in RB, and I really don't think Blitzkreig Bop was ever confirmed.
