So i know this is true for the 360 and im pretty sure for the ps2, but if there are 4 intruments and only 2 slots to plug in your controller how can 4 people be playing at the same time?

Well, it's really a non-issue all things considered. The 360 has four ports and the PS3 has the ability to recognize 7 wireless SIXAXIS.

I'm definitely hoping for wireless peripherals. Except for the mic, because I want to swing it around wildly and break stuff.

i'm pretty sure that come this time Microsoft will hand over thier wireless tech over so that they can make wireless periphreals, thus allowing 4 instruments. this is also a ps3 game, and that also is a 4 port operation.

There's one on the back of 360's as well, so there's three "wired" connections. But if the controllers are wireless it's a non-issue.
