Is wired guitar staying?

I went on a site today and found this:

Is the rockband guitar for 360 really going to be wired? :(

From what i remember, it currently says on gamestop that 360 includes a wired guitar in their bundle, but individually it sells a wireless guitar. As for ps3 it doesn't specify which will be in their bundle. But this is all still speculation though.

Anyway, I'll be jammin' on the ps3, but i will make sure i end up with at least 1 wired guitar. I trust the wire over wireless, especially in a game that relies on exact/perfect timing. I'll just pick up an extention if needed, so i can still run around with the guitar.

With the dashboard patch yesterday being vaguely about "wireless guitars" and Microsoft touting RB so much as a part of their 3rd party holiday lineup I think that MS will do what ever it takes to make sure the 360 version is at least as feature rich as the ps3 version. So I'm guessing they'll make it as easy as they possibly can for HMX to make the wireless 360 guitars equal (in cost at least) to the PS3 version.

I liked wired better too. No batteries or recharging or having the controller randomly fail during the game.

I'm indifferent here. I have GH & GH2 and got the bundles for both of them, so I'm just used to a cord. My friend has GH2 for 360 and I like the freedom of that, but I really don't care in the end, it's just cool enough to have the solo buttons on there already, I think.:D

I'll definitely get the bundle, and then the GH3 bundle too so I can have a wired (possibly) and a wireless (unless the RB bundle becomes wireless). Yeah, that's right, I said it. I'm getting GH3.



But I'm waiting until I'm, at least, half way through RB. (So about a week tops.:p)

i dont follow the 360 at all, but i recall reading about the licensing issues over ms's wireless. so that's why it would cost more, because that cost would be passed on to consumers.

as for the ps3, i would think they would use bluetooth and make it similar to the six axis, in the sense where you're wireless, but have the benefit of being wired with the USB cable. plus rechargeable battery.

It's too bad the bundle is listed on Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop as having the wired guitar. I already have 2 Xplorers, but was still planning on getting the bundle for the wireless guitar since the 360 only has 3 usb ports, which leaves out the possiblity of a fourth person unless a separate wireless guitar is purchased. Guess I'll just snag GHIII bundle like I was going to and order the game, drums and mic seperately. Bumms me out. Has there been any official word on this yet?
