Not sure if this has been asked or not. Songs like for example, Enter Sandman. The end of the song is just a fade out. I'm just wondering how this will be handled in Rockband. Feel free to post your thoughts.

........
they'll end the song once it stops fading out. sounds simple to me.
or add one of those bonus sections.

I was thinking the same thing about the bonus sections but I was just wondering what other people thought about it.

I'm not sure exactly how they are doing the ending jam sessions and which songs will get them. I wouldn't mind it being tacked on to all the songs that would otherwise fade out. If anyone has played Guitar Hero 80s there a few songs on there that just fade out, and it isn't terrible, but it does feel and sound somewhat awkward when it happens.
I know that one of the main things Harmonix is trying to do is conserve the songs in their entirety so if they fade out, they will most likely fade out in the game as well.

Yeah I've got no qualms about the fade out. It will be interesting to see how it's handled though...

I personally hope they'll do a solo section at the end. It's just weird playing notes as they get quieter and quieter and you hear yourself at the same volume. At the end of it you just hear yourself strumming (in this case, pounding on the drums and singing at full volume too) and the music cuts out...a brief and awkward silence. They did a good job in the GH series of sticking an extra "nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" at the end of a song that normally fades out to keep the flow. I dunno. Here's hoping for a solo at the end of every song! Just kidding. heh

Yeah but what about master tracks? They can't just throw in a random solo. It will probably be just like in 80's, which isn't all that bad. As for jam sessions, my thoughts originally were that they would only be on the encore tracks, or the last tracks at certain venues, if they aren't called encores.

Guitar Hero songs that originally had fade outs were just played through the end but those were covers weren't they? Hmm...
Fade outs are fine with me despite being a bit unsatisfying. I'd fare better with freeform endings.

Well, they'll probably do what they did with Freebird. The original version of Freebird didn't have an ending, they just made on up. Simple as that.

But songs like Enter Sandman are masters.

Hah whatever it is, I'm sure it will be more than acceptable for everyone's standards.
