Fender - the only brand of guitar ingame?

Just wondering, I might have missed something... but are Fenders going to be the only guitars in the game? Gibsons (and a few lesser brands) are in Guitar Hero - are they exclusive to that series? I was just wondering, since there doesn't seem to be much variety (or quantity) of models Fender sells...

Guitar hero also had the unlicensed guitars... battle axe, fish, USA, viking, coffin, etc. Nothing has been confirmed one way or another that I'm aware of, but it's possible those types of guitars will carry over too.

I am holding out for the singer's microphone which is modeled like an ice cream cone.

Well, there was a press release that Fenders are exclusive to RB, so expect mostly Fenders. I think a few smaller brands might sneak in there, but we'll have to see.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but outside of the custom wacky unlock guitars, I'm pretty sure GH had all Gibson associated guitars. (Epiphone and Kramer are just divisions of Gibson) So I'm pretty sure we'll see a similiar story with RB.

No, because of the deal Harmonix signed with Fender, which is most likely exclusive. While a small time guitar brand might slip through, Gibson won't.

In fact, because Fender is a huge sponsor for Rock Band, it would only make sense to just have Fenders, especially since that is what the controller is modeled after.

Now, GH had all different types of Gibsons; SG, Flying V, Explorer, etc. Is it safe to assume that Fender will have all their guitars, i.e. Strat, Tele, Bullet, etc, or is it going to be solely Strats?

Most Def there are going to be other Fenders. I'm hoping for a Mustang or Jazzmaster

Gibson owns Epiphone. Epiphone is basically all the Gibson models, but more affordable. Way more affordable.

Their Thunderbird IV is quite nice, actually.

Yeah, I play bass.

The only thing nice (for me) about Fender is that we have the Fender P-bass and Jazz bass, the two most pervasive bass guitars ever. Heck, they're the first two bass guitar models ever! Of course, most of the instruments are going to look similar, but as long as the paint options are good, I'll be fine with it.
