@op- if you're going to start a thread like this, you can't say "who cares?" for any instrument.

Anyways...

Dave Wyndorf(Monster Magnet)- vocals
Eddie Glass(Fu Manchu, Nebula)- Lead 1
Michael Amott(Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars)- Lead 2
Josh Homme(Kyuss, QOTSA)- Rythym and Back-ups
Steve Harris(Maiden)- Bass
Neil Peart(Rush)- Drums

hmmm....mikael akerfeldt would be a great choice as well....

Alright, now for some fun!!!

Singer: Roger Daltrey (The Who)

Guitar 1 (Lead/Rhythm): Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest)

Guitar 2 (Rhythm/Lead): Brian May (Queen)

Bass: John Entwistle (The Who)

Drums 1: Keith Moon (The Who)

Drums 2 (much akin to what The Grateful Dead do): Cozy Powell (Various projects)

Keyboards: John "Rabbit" Bundrick (modern The Who)

This would be my ideal band. The two guitarists would constantly switch back and forth from lead to rhythm and the drums/percussion would be handled in a very similar way to The Grateful Dead.

I know that I have 3 out of the 4 members of The Who, but they're all such talented musicians that they had to be included (that's not to say I dislike Pete Townshend (Guitarist of The Who) as I think he's one of the greatest guitarists out there), but there are more talented players. (Guitarists are ranked as follows: 1)Brian May, 2) Jimmi Hendrix, 3) Glenn Tipton, 4) Steve Vai, 5) Pete Townshend)

Jerry and Dimebag? You're gonna keep Jerry on Rhythm? I don't think it would work. But for Dime, I'm sure Jerry would do it.
