Are inaccurate. On drums, for instance, "Interstate Love Song" is far down the list of tiers for difficulty, but I can easily FC it on Expert. It should probably be a first or second tier song. What determines what tier a song is put in?

Yeah when doing the medium drum solo tour the only song I failed was GGaHT, everything else I sonned first time, thought it was a bit bizzare. Generally I think its pretty spot on though, from what Ive played at least

That's a good question...It must be an average across all instruments...there are a few songs on Guitar (Gimme Shelter for example) that appear toward the top tiers that feel "too close to the top" and others that are farther down the list that don't seem nearly as difficult.

I think HMX did this on purpose.

It gradually introduces the really hard songs.

That way people get a taste of the madness before they get to the last set.

Also, that way everyone won't hit a rediculous wall as soon as the get to the set with ALL the hard songs in it.

I'm with Dave. See this post for explanation:

Same for me. I got owned by that song several times (the fast drum sections during the solos were the problem). Once I got through that song I finished the rest of the medium tour without failing a song once. It might be a case of that song preparing you for later songs in the set, not sure. Either way it was the only song that challenged me on medium drums.
