I've been listening to the BOC for a while now and I was wondering what their genre was can anyone provide a legitimate answer?

Id say that they are awsome rock.
But in all seriousness they are hard rock.

Nah, they're more just Classic Rock. Like, the old fashioned rock. Not AC/DC classic, but like, ugh, how to explain it. If you have comcast, put on channel 413. It's softer than AC/DC though.

i wouldn't say softer than ac/dc, not in the very least. they're hard rock mixed with some psych elements

I'd probably say just classic rock... but if I couldn't pick that, then hard rock.
BOC definitely does rock though.

Some will put them into the category of being one of the forerunners of Metal.. I grew up on BOC. My dad was into them since the beginning. He was Hardcore in his day. He listened to Budgie, BOC, Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Montrose, UFO, Nazareth, Judas Priest and all sorts of the like. My Mom didn't know what half of what he was into when they got together. She was into Beatles and Stones and Simon & Garfunkle and the like... She also got into the Heavy stuff and was listening to the Scorpions in the early 70's. I grew up on all that as well. Scorpions are NOT an 80's band.. They started to decline in the 80's.
But back OT.. BOC is Hard Rock.. No way around it.. But they influenced a lot of kids who went on to play metal later on.
