Article is basically the same one as before. Interestingly enough there is no mention of Nevermind as an album for DLC, and they also forgot about Metallica's song, they only talk about the "15 announced songs".

Yah, this was the same article that originally screwed up and claimed there would be full album DLC every single week, which was quickly squashed on this forum. They fixed that error in the online one there, and so I wonder if the Nevermind announcement was also an error that they had to fix. I'd say I'm more than a little worried that Nevermind won't be included...there will be some VERY upset people about that...not good.

Not sure what's up w/ the Metallica ommision, they've already put out a freakin press release on that one. I'd say that's safe.

There's one line in that article that I particularly like:

"The feeling you get when you come together as a band and find that tight groove...it's just unexplainable."

For me, that perfectly sums up the main reason that I'm excited to play Rock Band. :)

I'll be ultimately pissed off if Nevermind as DLC is untrue. Why? Normally they quash rumours like that before they spread, but there were several threads about it and nobody ever said a thing.

Plus, I want to play it.

Hey all, just to clarify regarding some of the comments in this article-

We have previously announced that Rock Band features Nirvana's "In Bloom". To date, the only official announcement we have made regarding Rock Band album downloads is The Who, Who's Next. We will keep you updated on more Rock Band news as soon as we get it .

^ That was in response to the September Gamepro thread. Took him 10 pages into the thread, but that was his response to the info leaked out.

So it was never actually squashed, nor confirmed by HMX. He just stated what has been announced, and to stay tuned for more.

We'll just have to wait and see about Nevermind.

Yea I would be incredibly upset. I have a feeling they just weren't allowed to release that info yet, similar to the release date, I don't think their info was wrong, I just have a feeling they jumped the gun on announcing it. I hope, I have my fingers crossed for Nevermind as the 2nd DLC album.

i posted this thought in another thread, but id put my money on the fact that the print version of the story was published with the idea that it would not be seen until much later (it is a september issue, not august) after the official announcement would be made.
stuff like this occasionally get pre-written, but release is embargoed till a certain date. obviously it leaked before the official announcement could come. the online content is public, but they cant break the embargo, so the unofficial info had to be omitted from the article.
