people really need to stop making serious set lists consisting of all metal, or all classic rock. you and i both know that there is no way that they will put all classic rock or all metal songs in this game, they want to appeal to everyone so they will put a variety for songs in. do the same with your set lists, include everything, not just one genre.

Well, I disagree. I made a huge list of classic rock songs and barely some new songs. I did apologize for the lack of variety.
BUT
You and I both know that whatever the list we make isn't going to be the same list on RB. It's just us dreaming of what the setlist could be. I've seen some ridiculous lists, but its what they want. Doesn't mean they are gonna get it.

Sure they "want" to appeal to everyone. That's why "Enter Sandman" is the only "metal" (lol) song that has been announced.
Sorry but metal is what the people want. Let there be metal!
EDIT: I love black sabbath but paranoid is hard rock to me. Pick some other sabbath songs if you want people to consider them metal.

I have no problem with metal. It seems like most of the harder songs are metal songs, usually because of the 'shredding' and talented drummers.
So, let there be an equally balanced setlist of all genres (the good ones)!

While I agree that people do need to broaden their musical selection (although maybe not in the way you are suggesting, more on that later), you do have to realize that everything on this board is a "wishlist". People post what they want to see in the game, even if their selections aren't going to possibly make it in.
Besides which, what's the point in putting in music that you know nothing about at all. You'd be taking wild stabs at songs, not really knowing if they'd be fun to play or not. For example, you'll notice that my lists are very classic rock and classic metal-centric. I dislike most modern music and thus have not included any in my lists for two reasons 1) I dislike most of it, thus why would I like playing it? and 2) For the stuff that I do not know and people say things about, why should it be included in my list? I don't know the song and I'm not going to add it just to appease people.
The only problems I'm having with the setlists being posted here (even though it is your wishlist) is the surprising lack of originality in them. Everyone picks the greatest hits and ignores the better songs from a band's back-catalogue.
The perfect example is the constant inclusion of "Stairway To Heaven" on lists. People, this is NOT a song for RB!! This song is better suited for GH III. Besides, dig a little deeper into the Led Zeppelin catalogue and you'll find much better songs like "Black Dog", "Achilles Last Stand", "Rock And Roll", "Ramble On" and "The Immigrant Song".
Just like the inclusion of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Again, not a great RB song. Dig deeper and you'll find better classics like "The Show Must Go On", "Seven Seas Of Rhye", "March Of The Black Queen", "Death On Two Legs", "Tie Your Mother Down", "Brighton Rock", and "Princes Of The Universe".
Please people, look beyond the greatest hits collections for groups, you'll discover whole worlds of better music out there!!!

Pretty much what I was thinking too.
The developers have to tread a very thin line on what makes it in. Obscure songs would not be a good decision, but there are metal songs that a lot of people HAVE heard.
Metal is a very broad, diverse genre that has been around for almost 30 years, and to not include some of the amazing talent from that genre is an insult to the all encompasing "Rock" name.

thats basically what i was getting at, i understand they are not going to pick someoens list and put it in the game, but i have seen Thunderstruck on here 458258435978 times, and if it goes in the game i may have to slay myself. although i agree with you on the fact that some people only listen to a certain genre of music, so that might be all they know, but i guarentee that every person on this board has heard at least 5 songs, be it on the radio or even at a friends, by bands outside thier personal preferred genre. just have some originality people, there is more good music out there other than AC/DC and Metal.

Totally agree with this. And a great song doesn't make a great RB song. I'd really love to sing Don't Stop Me Now from Queen, but there's not nearly enough action for the other parts of the game. Incedently - my setlist had The Immigrant Song and Princes of the Universe.
