I say after experience with them all... PS3 and Wii are a close... (I have fun on Wii) but seeing this is a Rock Band forum and no RB for Wii. Go with PS3.

EDIT: Also... if you get an 80GB PS3 you can play your old PSX/PS2 games on it.

also, i prefer the 360. i switched my ps2 for the 360 to get rock band. i love it.

Agreed, you are just going to figure this out for yourself. There are pros and cons to all three systems. Might help if you told us a little bit more about what kind of games you like to play and what features you hope to get from the system.

Look, if the person has a 360, they are gonna tell you the 360 is better. If the person has a PS3, they are gonna tell you the PS3 is better. If the person has a wii...well they prob. gonna say, " i hate my self". People are going to say that the system "they" have is better.

Or you could pick up the older wireless adapter off ebay for $40. Latest isnt always greatest ;)

360 is my opinion. Why? Ive had both. The PS3 sucked.

I vote 360, but that's mostly because I thought Splinter Cell 3 beat Metal Gear Solid 3 in every conceivable way, and since the next game in both series are platform exclusive I'd run with the one that didn't decide to re-release their game so it would finally have a functional camera system (Snake Eater) . (Note: only odd-numbered splinter cells are great. 2 and 4 weren't developed by the team for 1, 3, and 5)

I also really liked Halo and Gears, not to mention the much better online games. WE HAVE ****ING REZ.

What it comes down to, what do you like to play? Certain games only release on certain systems. Halo on 360 vs say... MGS4 on PS3 or ... SSB on Wii. Between them Wii is the cheapest and more "any body can play this", PS3 is the best graphically designed system yet still waiting on some of its powerhouse games to release, and 360 currently has a good library with a nice online ability. PS3 is a happy medium and holds the Blue Ray advantage which has won the DVD wars over HD DVD (it is being phased out.) So find the games you like or types you play and see what system offers best games to match :)

Just because of WB dropping HDDVD b/c they were paid millions of dollars to do so does not mean that HDDVD is being "phased out". It will most likely be at least another year before anything can really be said for certain as to which format "won". There are just too many major companies still supporting HDDVD to claim that Blu Ray is the "winner".

AGREED 100%. Got rid of my ps3 when all the games that were super hyped, turn out to either suck or were way too short. Plus just boring to play. Just my opinion though

The PS3 is much more reliable and versatile, than the 360.
It is the obvious choice if you have a HD tv, and want to step up to bluray technology.
The PS3 Rockband guitars are wireless, the 360 has wired guitars. WIRED guitars. That alone is reason enough. Who wants to rock with a wired guitar???
Plus you dont have to pay to be online.
If you are used to playstation, the transition will be easier as well.
