Are you trying to say "If they only show the note tracks for the instruments of the players using the same TV as you they will be able to add different/ multiples of the same instruments." ? If so, the front page intro for the site show suffragette city with as few as one note track on screen at one time (or maybe I saw that some where else, I haven't sat through the intro page in awhile). So I hope that answers your question/idea? I'm Ron Burgandy? (sorry, I couldn't resist)

Thread really isn't living up to the name...sorry. But I have to say, there are only 4 players max, and so when you play with only one person or two people to a screen you do only see their notecharts, but this doesn't really open up the rest of the space for other instruments, the game wasn't made for that, and how many songs is this going to work for? Most barely support Drums, Guitar, Bass and Vocals.

Took a while, but I think I understand it now, and I don't think it would work because those "Extra" features would have to be removed if you were playing 4 people on the same TV, I don't see them putting in other On screen features, like a Keyboard or dual guitarists/Singers

I think he means Say for example you have a Guitarist and a Singer playing on your console so you'd only see the vocals at the top and guitar in the middle, he's suggesting add other features like a keyboard for when you don't have all 4 of the regular instruments going

its really stupid cause you'd technically have 5 instruments but only be able to play 4, that or keyboard( or w/e else these "Features" are) would only be allowed in when one of the 4 original instruments isn't in..... which is basically same thing

Ah, now I understand. If he really wanted to say that.

I think it's an okay idea, but I think a better idea is, just include the feature to use two TVs. Of course not everyone has two TVs, but it's still the only possible option that I can imagine which makes a keyboard possible. (since on one TV is just noch enough space for a keyboard left)
The only bad thing is, you probably will need a second Xbox too, because the box hasn't two TV outputs... unless they'll release some kind of adapter? Argh... don't know. :p
