View Full Version : Guitar Tilt Functionality

So... I am on my 3rd!!! guitar now.

The first one I had exactly one month to the day I got it, and the down strum sensor snapped off. I had bought my S.E. at K-Mart so they took it back, but didn't have a replacement so gave me my money back.

I bopped across the street and bought a new S.E. from Game Stop. That guitar out of the box had a funky tilt/overdrive/energy sensor but otherwise played good. I called EA the next day, and they cross shipped me a new one.

I recieved the new one 3 days later, AND it's tilt mechanism was even worse than the one it was supposed to replace. They 2nd guitar seemed to get better. The 3rd one is heinously intermittent, and I have to make all kinds of funked up gyrations and what not to get it to even work half the time and usually mess up my 4x so why bother even going into overdrive at that point...? Also, the downstrum and primary fret buttons are really, really loud. BTW, both new guitars are 2nd editions ("fixed" strummer sensors).

So my question is this- can someone post a picture of the guitar opened up showing the electronics pointing out where the tilt/overdrive/energy sensor is, AND does anyone know of some way to adjust/fix/calibrate it so it works all the time and not have me look like I'm having spasms and seizures trying to activate it?

I really don't wanna have to get a 4th guitar...

Thank you very much-
Coop

The models differ a bit, but the basic idea is the same.

I have the same problem with my RB guitar. I have to point the guitar straight up and sometimes it doesn't activate so I try again. By the time I get it to work I miss some notes.
Now I use my GH III Les Paul wireless because it requires very little tilt action to activate Overdrive and I don't miss any notes when activating it.
