Is there a way to use multiple PS3 profiles in one session? That is, if I have my profile, and my brother has his profile, can we start Rock Band and use characters from both profiles? Or is it limited to one only (and thus, records and high scores get comingled)?
Thanks in advance.

Bump?
I know the PS3 is a bit "less adept" at User Profiles than the other two consoles (360, Wii) because the controllers can carry memory cards, but if the port to PS3 couldn't even be bothered to support multiple simultaneous profiles... that's pretty sloppy, tbh.
If you can't load multiple profiles, I might create a "band" user profile, so that the high scores set by my band don't conflict with my personal high scores. Cumbersome, and annoying since your accomplishments are split, but what other option do you have, especially if you're rotating instruments with someone?

I don't think it's Harmonix's fault that the PS3 version doesn't support the use of multiple accounts. This feature isn't built into the PS3 and that's way no games support this feature. My only problem with the PS3 version is that there isn't voice support for online. I just wish Sony would have had a more unified online network.

Yeah, you'll need to have all your characters on one profile/PSN account. You can transfer the save data from one profile to the other, but as far as I know, there's no way to combine the characters from two profiles into one.
Your scores for Solo World Tour and Band World Tour are kept separately, so you shouldn't need to worry about them conflicting. Just pick a profile and have everyone make their characters and play on that one. It makes it easier when installing DLC songs anyway.

Did you ever find out how to do this?
