Band to release a new album as well as the DLC format on the same day. I think that would be the coolest release event ever. Just imagine a new U2 album release with accompanying DLC version for RB.

Radiohead should have done this with In Rainbows. Make the album available for Free, and sell the DLC.

Wasn't there rumblings of Metallica releasing their newest single as Rock Band DLC before the albums release?

This would be a cool concept, but never see it happening, a big reason would be because of the update times on the PSN and XBL, I think Tuesday for xbl? and Thursday's for PSN.

Also the way things are going there won't be any new songs on RB. Which is fine by me, I enjoy older music and think alot of new stuff is not as good, maybe its a license thing.

Too many rumors of this to not have a grain of truth. I think it is expected in the Spring.

Remember that it is not just a band wanting to release content to Rockband, but that Harmonix needs to do all of the work on the game side to make it worth everyones time.

Yeah, I read that too. I wonder if that's still going to happen or if it will be a no-go...
