Last month by popular demand I ran a sticky soliciting pictoral submissions for another community "Rock Project" of sorts.

Based on the submissions, plus many creative photo entries across the site, the below "Rock Valentine" card was created and submitted to the HMX community team, showing off the many faces and avatars which makes the game great.

The valentine card ended up roughly 9 feet long, with over 120 fan created pictures, either submitted directly or indirectly via the "show off your character" sticky thread.

Due to size and printer constraints, the number was not as high as I had hoped, however, I believe it sums up the creativity and ingenunity of the forum community. A lovely sign of good will and positivity in a sea of angst.

I don't work for anyone but myself, and how I spend my free time is my own business.

("All day" is apparently a couple of hours too, because it wasn't that elaborate ;))

Anyway, glad to know everything went well. I, personally, didn't participate in this project, but I'm liking the results!

My bad. In the sea of negativity going around it is easy to be defensive.

That's sort of what this project was about to begin with... rounding up some of the positive energy out of this place in the face of negativity... ironic that the month long process of collecting, printing, shipping, should conclude right in the middle of a time of such forum angst.

Hey don't feel bad... I play Rock Band less than a couple hours a week, but because I tape everything I do and post it on YouTube people tell me I need to "get a life". LOL

Wow apples, thats awesome, it came out great! I didn't see this, I wish I could have been a part of it, like I was last time. Oh well, still great to see, and hopefully there will be more of this in the future, HMX certainly deserves it!

This was absolutely AMAZING! Thanks so much to Apples and everyone who sent in photos of their Rockers, or photos of themselves rocking out! We've got it set out in the main HMX meeting area, and the community team looked on proudly as other HMXers stopped to gawk post lunch time.

Hats off to everyone involved! Extra special thanks go out from me to the gifted individual responsible for the Captain Planet rocker. Words will not do its beauty justice.

This is seriously the coolest thing ever. Everyone is stoked by all y'alls creativity in characters. Personally I love the Futurama band more than just about anything.
