I've only heard of a few of those bands. I like when I see that, because I get tired of seeing the same bands over and over.

Any setlist that features the Pixies, Arcade Fire and Radiohead is fine by me.

Haven't heard of all of those bands but I really like The Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Pixies, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, and Stabbing Westward. I'll make sure I check out some of the other bands on your list. From what I can tell it looks like you’ve got a nice variety of different styles and genres in the list which is always nice to see.

Careful, some people here are pretty serious about hating AFI.

Wow, I leave for a week or two and someone else suggests not only Viva Voce but Alive With Pleasure?? Excellent band and excellent track. And I doubt it'd be hard to aquire the rights considering the band is on a relatively small label, the duo seems pretty friendly, and they would probably be psyched to get this kind of exposure.

From the Devil Himself is also a great song (in general and to include in Rockband).

Careful, some people here are pretty serious about hating AFI.

Personally, I checked out Miss Murder with a completely open mind when I heard it announced for GH3, and I hated it and I hated the guitar.

Total Immortal is the second AFI song I've checked out (with a slightly less open mind), and it's pretty good. I wouldn't mind seeing it in Rock Band. (Except the vocalist is kind of annoying.) It especially has some bass that sounds very fun.

This raises the question: Is AFI a crappy band with one song I like, or a good band with at least one bafflingly popular single that I can't stand?

AFI's old stuff > AFI's new stuff.

I suggest Raining Blood by Slayer if only for the opening rift alone.

AFI was a good punk band in their early days, peaking on the album The Art of Drowning...everything they've done since then has gone progressively downhill. Another decent song to check out is Sacrifice Theory off their Art of Drowning album. If you dig that song, you'll like the album.

I really hope that the developers take a look at the indie labels for great bands. Licensing costs for the big labels must be ridiculous.
