My Hero has better everything and I could see it being a pretty good party song because everyone knows it.
And I really want to play the drums on that song.

The question is...why is Elvis dead, while all the impersonaters are still alive?
You get the idea. I agree with you.

Good party song? :p Not really, and the guitar and bass riffs are a bit repetitive, but the drums and vocals would be sweet. It's a great song, but it doesn't even out for RB enough.

Guitar - Better on My Hero
Bass - Tie
Drums - Better on My Hero
Vocals - Better on My Hero
Maybe they just needed an easy first or second tier song.

'My Hero' isn't a better song for the game. I love the Foos but how on earth would you do the slides on a plastic guitar? I'm just happy for another Foos song. I have a feeling Mr. Dave likes the crew at HMX. He was 'in' GHI (Drums on 'No One Knows', Twice in GHII (Drums on 'Heart Shaped Box' and 'Guitar AND Vocals on 'Monkey Wrench'. Now he's in RB and not GHIII (at least as of now). I'm looking forward to a Foos Greatest Hits CD soon and a same day release of it as DLC for RB.

Hope so. IMO though 'All my life' or 'Low' would be better.
Just have to see how it pans out.

I know Learn to Fly, but I don't know My Hero.
That's probably why it was chosen.

My Hero has a lot of repetition. Learn to Fly mixes it up a bit more, so I think that's why it was chosen.

Beyond My Hero and Learn to Fly, there were definately better choices for Foo Fighters songs, that would have been more fun to play, hopefully we get some as DLC.

I would love to play The Best of You. But any Foo fighter song is awesome to play. And I personally like Learn to Fly better than My Hero.

Slides? There's maybe one weird one the whole song.
And the reason I made this thread is because I got done charting a My Hero custom and noticed it came out well.
If I can make a decently fun chart, I imagine Harmonix can make an amazingly fun one.

I don't know why they didn't just try to get Everlong isntead of either of My Hero or Learn To Fly. Everlong is by far the best Foo Fighters song out there.

The intro to Freebird is all slide guitar. It's all pretend anyway, use your imagination.

I was wondering when someone would bring up Everlong. Definately my favorite song by them.

I think Everlong is the best FF song they can pick. Like, one of the very few FF songs I wasn't a HUGE fan of, Monkey Wrench, was put on GH2... WTH?
Anyway. My Hero would be good, but its a little bit more repetitive. I played Everlong on Freetar (PC style Guitar Hero game, songs made by users, used by plugging 360 USB guitar in) and it was gr8.

I didn't think of the 'Freebird' thing. 'My Hero' would work. I think 'Low' would be the best.

Everlong is an amazing song, but is too easy/repetetive. If it did come out it'd be DLC, which I hope it does.

Everlong is probably my favorite Foo Fighters song, but I think All My Life might be more fun to play.

Dave is in GHIII. Tenacious D's 'The Metal', he's the drummer....
And I wouldn't doubt Foo Fighters or even Nirvana from not being in GHIII. Since both games has either same songs or songs from the same artists, it could be possible for a FF song on GHIII.
I vote for everlong.
