I see these setlists and they are littered with classic rock etc. Does noone give credit to some modern stuff? I like the old stuff, don't get me wrong. But you have to please all audiences. You can't just aim for a certain genre.

Don't take this as a flame to anyone who enjoys classic stuff! :p This is just my suggestion of modern stuff, to please people that are into stuff like the following:

Underoath
As I Lay Dying
Kill Hannah
The Chariot
Norma Jean
BLINK 182 (Would be an amazingly big hit.)
Paramore
Scary Kids Scaring Kids
etc.

Just a suggestion. There is always that genre of music that I tend to hate, but I end up liking a few select songs when I play GH and hear them. So maybe people might take a liking to some songs by the bands above.

I think Paramore's "Misery Business" would be great for Rock Band. Sure people will lump it together in the "pop punk" category but the song isnt whiney or anything. It would still rock to play.

I'm pretty sure that every band you named either sucks, or I've never heard of them before. Most of the lists include a lot of classic rock because those people were so high it made them creative as hell. There is more outstanding music from the 60's, 70's and early 80's then there will ever be for the rest of our lives (unless we're lucky and all this emo/pop/punk BS goes the hell away). I also loved the 90's with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Red Hot Chilis, Incubus, etc. Modern music is just mass produced, get-it-out-there-so-we-can-sell-it crap. Stick to the classics with touches of modern stuff.

Don't get me wrong, the modern stuff they have chosen so far is pretty good stuff (The Hives, The Strokes, etc). They just need to keep it up.

Drugs don't make you more creative.

Drugs don't make you more creative.

I think it kind of slightly boosts it. And at least the drug use wasn't pretentious like "Straight Edge".

They will include modern music, but not modern music that sucks. Don't expect much out of America. It is currently the capital of Pop Punk/Emo, Nu Metal, and Bad Rap. Maybe some of the less well known stuff.

Meh, I like underOATH, Norma Jean, and Scary Kids.. but not for RB.

I guess Blink would be alright, though.. but I don't really like them.

Okay. I hate having to point out how ignorant you are but I will do it. This game is not being made directly for and to you. So your opinion of how these bands may 'suck' is your opinion. So don't talk down our music and think that yours is almighty. They need to make variety in this game for all audiences, not just you. So keep your opinion of what music sucks and what music is good, to yourself. Thank you.:D

Now. Yes, Blink 182 has had a good 4 or 5 hits. Adam's Song. All the Small Things. What's My Age Again. Miss You. Feeling this. I think there might be more. But who's counting.

Also, if they add Blink 182, let us hope they don't just add stuff from the last album that was untitled. Because that, my friends, was not Blink 182. Blink 182 was immature and fun. Their last album was depressing and sad, more less.

So yeah. Suggestion to the creators. Variety. Modern music as well as old.. etc. :)

And I do not see why it would be good to add older stuff and not newer stuff. Why would Blink 182 or any other band be less worthy of being on this game than...Guns and Roses?

But it's not just him, many many people hate these types of modern bands. Let me tell you, there is much better modern music than Blink. Check out whats coming out of the U.K.

These bands are pretty mass produced and bad. They are almost unanimously hated by fans of other genres. The only reason the include blink and other crap like that is so their fans can find some good music.

Also, it seems you are ignorant of the definition of the word ignorant.
