I was just wondering what you all think? i read that hte bundle will cost 200? well 199.99 and i was like wow.....thats alot of money for a game..thats about 3 games right there...and it took me a while to come up with money for gh2 and that was only 100 and i somewhat regret spending alot of money on that game.... is the 199.99 price a rumor or is it official?

The price is just an estimate made by stores.
It does seem like a fair price to say the least, since we are gettin so many cool peripherals with it.

It's not expensive when you see what you're getting.

Guitar: $80
Game: $60
Drums: $80
Mic: $20 (Or $30, I forget)

That's $240 total. You save $40 if you buy the bundle.

i know but... its a bit too much ..not all people have tons of money
i mean im not speaking only for myself, i know many other people cant afford to pay so much. and i know its a discount and im buying it reguardless of the price, but its alot still :P i dont think any parent would want to spend 200$ on a game for their kid, when they can just buy him/her an actual guitar with that...

I've heard rumors of bundles with the game and one of the peripherals.

For those who don't want to get them all at once, maybe these are the alternative?

if you regret buying GH2 then you might as well forget about getting this game. I have never regretted buying either of the GH games.

If you can't afford all of the peripherals, I have a plan for you, just listen VERY carefully...

DON'T BUY ALL OF THEM!! ONLY THE ONES YOU CAN AFFORD!!!

There, that wasn't hard was it?? If you are interested in the drumming game, get the drums. If you wanna sing, get the mic. If you wanna play guitar/bass, (even though you have already stated that you regretted getting GH2) then get the guitar. After a while, you can get all the peripherals, just keep saving money.

if ya really want to save money just by the drums, cause you can use any usb mic or headset(i assume u can use the 360 headset) and just use your GH guitar controller, so u really only have to buy the game and drums.

I think it's the best deal for:
2 guitars
drums
mic
game

Tha's probably one of the best deals I have seen!

The price will be $200..... its not confirmed, but i would bet alot it will be. If u dont want to buy the package just buy the game. But I'm sure that down the road you would end up buying all the rest of it anyways. My advice, save. save. save. From what I have seen, looks to be well worth the money.

i guess i'm wierd.

i'm thinking $200 is dirt cheap for what you're getting (if that is the price).

i'm no rich moneybags either (yet), but still, that's not much for a "never ending" game without sequels. (downloadable content). it's not like it's one ended like many games where you play it, beat it, and that's it.

maybe i like music too much. but you never get tired of "playing music".

get out there and earn some money for it, don't just say "i can't afford it". you'll be doing that the rest of your life if you don't change your thinking now. ask "how can i afford it". you'll come up with alot of ideas.

Well for one...... nobody knows except for Harmonix. But frankly i really wouldn't trust the guys at EB Games with pre release info on games, stick to forums like these.

i said somewhat asshat, part of me regrets it because it doesnt have a good setlist and there was no DLC and no online.

I love the game and i love the Explorer guitar and ive played that game over a billion times i dont get tired of it.

and i can afford to buy the set and i am, all im saying is that 200 is too much for a game i mean... sure its not like other games were once you beat it thats it, but think about it... DLC might not come often like GH2 did. and then later they might stop updating the game and just release a new game, with new instruments..same ones..but with new features..and also besides, The materials to make a controller arent probably that expensive if you go look into the ecomonics.

Yeah, but if a parent were to buy a real guitar, they'd likely have to pay for lessons for a while as well.

Plus, Rock Band looks f##king badass anyways. Who can say no to a game like that?

But you can't buy a drumset for that, so if a kid wants to learn to play drums this game is cheaper and makes less noise than a real drumset. And it sort of teaches you how to play too. Then if the kid still wants to play drums, the parent can make the leap to a real set. On the other hand, if they already own guitar hero and they wanna play the new songs on Rock Band, they can just buy the game by itself. Harmonix gives the customer the choice of how they want to play this game.... which is one of the many great things about it. I think if the predicted pricing sticks, it's a good deal.

Anyway, I've already got my bundle preordered cause I plan on playing every which way you can.

I agree that HMX will make another RB, probably with different instruments. But that doesn't mean that you have to buy those guitars/drums/mics either. Just like someone stated earlier, you could still play the game with only the drums, then use your GH2 guitar and a headset. When RB2 does come out, you should be able to use your old instruments on it. And I don't expect another RB until at LEAST 2009.

I have seen the insides of the SG for GH1 and yes, it does look like it would be pretty cheap to make, and a mic would be also, but drums actually have to be made so that they can take a beating without breaking.

This game is worth the 200 dollars anyway because it has so much replay value, HMX said they plan to release at least 100 songs for DLC after a year of the game's release. I think 100 songs, plus the 40+ that it will be shipped with will be more than enough to last for a few years. I still play GH1 and GH2, and I bought them when they were first released. I agree that I am getting a little tired of the set list for GH2, but I plan to play RB for at least 5 or 10 years!

BTW Pls don't curse on this forum, no matter how funny it sounds. (....hehe asshat hehe..)

No curse...gotcha...

but why are the same thread topics being thrown back and forth like a red ball? I've heard enough about :

1.)Wired controllers
2.)Singing and playing
3.)Comparisons to GH III
4.)official price
5.)bundles

Someone needs to overdose on some creativity and make some new stuffs.
