Yeah, basically the 360 not having wireless at all is total BS and I'm really considering the PS3 version now.
But this is still not really confirmed, we know how reliable news like this is.
Oh and a Wii version confirmed too.

I won't believe a word from anyone except Harmonix, EA, or MTV.

Well great... another pointless thread (sadly I have personal experience of making these). Who cares if its wireless or not? And this is getting more replies than me being the only one who's worked out UK prices for defo, but I did post it at Midnight UK time so im not surprised.

because of wired guitars? I'm happy that they're wired, because I don't like meeting the Energizer Bunny in dark alleys just to get my fix of power. I hand him the money, he hands me the batteries, and we go seperate ways like we've never met...every single time.
No, but seriously...don't let this make or break the game. It's not that big of a deal, honest.

I'll be SO disappointed if this news actually is strue. I really can't see Microsoft allowing this to happen though seeing how much they showcased it at their press conference and that, thus far, its only been demoed using the 360.
How is it the LEs Paul Guitar Hero III controllers will be wireless and the Rock Band ones won't?

lol Naw I'd say Sony just took a hit... with the Premium not only dropping $50 but getting HDMI and a 120gig HDD.
360 has wireless guitars.... for GHIII.

another link that stems from the original mole. the gamepro article just cites the same source that started it all. nothing new "confirmed"

Yea, its not really a big deal for two reasons. Wires aren't really that bad at all, and Harmonix has 3 months to do whatever they want to this game. Making wireless controllers for 360 is probably on the 'to-do' list

I smell bull crap. Doesnt seem to me like it makes any sense after the whole wireless 360 update to only include GH3, and why would GH3's be wireless and not Rock Band's in the first place? I dont buy it, not until someone a bit more reliable confirms something. I've never trusted game magazines, they arent as reliable as most sources like IGN, mainly because they have to have certain material covered in a monthly issued magazine. With internet news sources, they can update whenever giving you a bit more accuracy. There have been loads of times where game magazines are proven inaccurate (not saying of course that the internet has never been wrong).
Oh and I've been away for a few days. Was the update for the 360 proven to be for Rock Band along with GH3? I had assumed it was judging from the IGN article but I hadnt heard anything more about it.

Wow that is an impressively useless "article". They link to Arstechnica stating "facts" that do not exist, and toss out a supposed Wii port which has yet to be announced too.
I'm confused as to the panic brought about by this supposed leak to Ars, nowhere in that article does it say there is no wireless for the 360, only that the bundle will not include one as to keep it the same price as the PS3 bundle.. Heck the last paragraph in the Ars post everyone links to talks about a 360 wireless guitar noting that there is an extra cost involved in the licensing of Microsoft's proprietary wireless.

It kind of goes against everything that is listed on the GameStop website. If there's a wireless guitar for 360, it will be wireless in box. There was even an update on the 360 that addresses the wireless guitars. If the PS3 has one, the 360 will have one...or one would think.
We just saw the box artwork for the bundle, and things are changing online, so I think we'll get the final answer soon. Until I see it here, it's unofficial.

I wish for world peace, for democratic communism, for people to spell properly and learn to edit rather than double post.
But that's never gonna happen (in order of above wishes) 1) cos humans must fight 2) humans cannot share 3) humans as a majority (majority being: Americans) are thick and 4) same as 3.

This is not necessarily true. Big acts that tour use wireless transmitters. How else would they run, jump, a twist around like they do.

I like wired controllers too.
Batteries are really expensive, plus I dont stand that far away from the screen. But Im not going to lie and say I wouldnt prefer wireless

Anyone that says recharging the controller and worrying about batteries is just fooling themselves.
The Play and Charge kit gives you the ability to play wirelessly with a battery pack, or wired if you need to charge the battery pack. Plain and simple.

I'm going to break it to you gently. Ok? Prepare yourself.
Guitar Hero and Rock Band are just videogames. Playing a real guitar is exponentially harder than clicking buttons on a little fake guitar. Do real TV watchers get up and change the channel by pressing the button on the TV, and only wusses use a remote control?
Oh yeah, and I want hand cranks for my car windows, because that's how real car enthusiasts do it.

I don't believe it. They already told us that it will cost $189. So that debunks this right off the bat.
Plus it's from 20 days ago.

Anyone that says recharging the controller and worrying about batteries is just fooling themselves.
The Play and Charge kit gives you the ability to play wirelessly with a battery pack, or wired if you need to charge the battery pack. Plain and simple.
That would, of course, require the controller to be compatible with the Play and Charge kit. The Les Paul for GH3, for instance, is not as far as I know, so there is every chance that neither would the Strat be compatible with it.

Holy crap necro-post. I see a ban on the horizon for someone and a closed thread.
