Whats with a bunch of cover tunes?!?

Is it a money issue for the licensing? I mean Granted the covers sound ok. But kinda hard to cover a Rush or Iron Maiden Song. Just doesnt sound right. =/

Sometimes the masters are lost/destroyed, sometimes they are in very bad shape, or sometimes they were recorded in such a way that makes it impossible to pull the pieces apart in the way they need to for rock band.

Well, in case someone messes up it can't just keep playing normally, so they have to make covers for it. Custom songs for GH3 were different that way. The sounds didn't make when you messed up because they were original.

Yeah I also kinda thought about the orginals bein messed up. Kinda like in GH3 where the Sex Pistols had to rercord because the masters were lost.
