I would be happy with both but imo there is a 90% chance it is the one by Muse. The Muse song is awesome and they have already had 1 song in GH. From what I have seen, Def Lep doesn't license there music for use in anything. And if it was Def Lep it is a weird choice for this game from all the other songs they have in their catalog (Photograph, Pour Some Sugar on Me, etc). They are one of my fav bands and I hope I am wrong though.

Well, we have some chance with Def Leppard, i own a SSX game for PSP and they gave permission for that game to have "Let It Go", I can only hope they will do the same with Rock Band, especially since it will be master tracks :). I would pay anything for a Hysteria/Pyromania album download for Rock Band.

Put me in with the "wink" crowd as I had no idea of the Muse version -- and after I heard it I realised this would be the more likely addition than the DL version.

I agree that this would be a weird inclusion if it does turn out to be the DL version with all the other songs that it could have been.

So I am realistic that this is Muse but I wink in hopes of DL.

Def Leppard are touring again here in the UK (July i think) so it seems plausable.

They tour almost every summer so I wouldn't take the tour as an indication they are going to be in the game. Def Lep are awesome and have a ton of songs that would rock in this game. Hysteria is probably my 3rd fav song from them after photograph and animal. WIth that being said, I really think its Muse that is going to be in the game. But if it does end up being DL you won't be able to wipe the grin off my face for a loooooong time.

Btw I am a huge Muse fan too so its a win/win for me anyway!

The muse song is more fun then the Def Leppard one, but overall I'm thinking Def Leppard is a bit better. This just isn't a good song for them to debut with, compared to their other greats. Also there's the licensing problems with DL, and the lack of them for Muse.

For anyone who hates Muse thanks to GH3, Knights of Cydonia is a terrible song and NOTHING like the rest of Muse's music.

Saying that Muse sucks because of KoC is like saying Smash Mouth sucks because of Walkin' On The Sun (which is nothing like the rest of their music) or that Sugar Ray sucks because of Every Morning (same thing there) etc.

So I stopped being ignorant on DL's Hysteria and listened to it. I like it, but I am way too much of a Muse fan to not have the Muse version of it in the game.

I think it's honestly a lose-lose for Harmonix. If it's the DL version, Muse fans are crushed. If it's the Muse version, DL fans are crushed.

I had to revisit this topic.

I listened to Muse and conceded that it must be this version that may be released later.

However being the DL fan that I am I went back and listed to Hysteria and being that this is RockBAND -- I think the DL version is more RB friendly in that is has multiple RB friendly parts in the bass, lead guitar and drumline while it seems (at least to me) that most are wanting the Muse version for it's (admittedly) nice bass line.

Just more of my two cents (that no one really cares about).

They should come out with a "Hey that's not the song I wanted!" pack. Over the Hills and Far Away (Nightwish),Heartbreaker (Pat Benetar) and Hysteria (Muse)

I'll shake my head and blink cause I want Pour Some Sugar on Me and Stolkholm Syndrome but not either Hysteria though I think Muse's has more potential at being fun in the game.

Hmm You might be right, but saying a band is good because of similarities to Smashmouth and Sugar Ray is not convincing me.

No one is drawing similarities between Muse and Smashmouth and/or Sugar Ray. To do so would be heresy.

Just an opinion, but Muse is hands-down the best band alive and playing, and if people would pull their heads out and listen and watch, they'd know it, and music would be saved forever.

Again, just an opinion...it just happens to be the right one;)
