My friend is on Scorehero and said that someone said on a thread that Rock Band would be on Wii. Does anyone else have any info on this? I would LOVE this game on Wii (mainly because that's the only system I have a hope of getting in the next 6 months).

There are other threads on this elsewhere on the forums... please search in future to avoid any chance of someone flaming you.
However, they've said they intend to eventually get it on the Wii, however it wont be on release day, and if you actually want the game badly, go buy a 360 for it. It's what all us cool gamers are doing!

Meh, I'm not a cool gamer, nor a rich one, for that matter. The Wii's all I can afford.

I have a Wii and a 360. I'll buy Rock Band for the 360 since it's the manlier of the two.

With the number of people who own a Wii, they'd be fools not to put it on the Wii.

they should put it on the wii...and for people like motleypriest111 i suggest that you get it for the wii. I have an xbox and i am planning on getting a wii in about a month and I can tell you right now that wii will be more reliable since wiis are less likely to randomly break down....

You should also consider whether or not you want to play online multiplayer or not. If you do, and the game is made for wii, you should research how multiplayer for wii will work vs. the other systems.

What about DLC and Xbox Live? The Wii Virtual Console is weird compared to the Xbox Live Marketplace. $5 and $10 on the 360. The Wii is $5 for NES, $8 for SNES, $10 for N64, $8 for Mega Drive and Genesis, and $6 for Turbograf 16. Oh, and $5 for internet (I got the trial before June so it's free for me!)

hey man don't pay no mind to all these 360 or PS3 fanatic fools, telling what you should buy and what not!!. I despise console wars!!. I own a PS3 myself, but think that any console on the market rigth now is great. People should buy which ever one is most appealing or affordable to them.
As far as your topic goes, sadly Rockband will not be available for the Wii at least not at lauch, and to be honest I don't think that it will be available anytime in the near future(probably never) but who knows??.
All is not lost though, Gitar Hero III will be available for the Wii, maybe you can settle with that for the time being.

I'm wafflling between:
- Get GHIII for PS2, don't worry about RB for now
- Get a Wii and GHIII for it, hoping that RB will come out for it if and when I want it down the road
- Get a PS3 and GHIII for it so I can play GH, GHII, GH80s on it as well (assuming that those games will work with the upcoming PS3 guitar controller), and get RB down the road.
I wish there was some sort of time horizon given for when a Wii version might come out (Summer 2008, Christmas 2008, etc).

im torn between:
- Get Gh3 with controller and just get rock band with drums
- Get GH3 without controller and struggle to pay for rock band bundle (If it comes out here)
- Dont get GH3 at all and get rock band bundle and get GH3 next year when it is cheap or i am bored of rock band

I've yet to understand this fascination with Rock Band on the Wii.
The game prides itself on it's online components, multiplayer, and download content. And it's going to be transplanted to a console with the worst online system of the current generation.
Don't get me wrong, having the game accessible to a larger audience can only be a good thing. But why wouldn't you want the fullest/best experience out there?

This. I'm sure the core game would be great on the Wii, but it'd have a stripped down (if any) online mode and no DLC, which are two of the biggest components Harmonix is pushing. It'd be like getting half a game (or far less, depending on how much DLC is released).

ok, guys, i have a ps3, 360 and Wii, im getting it on 360 for online, and the achievements, and DLC, if i can afford it! But now if you guys say that there may be a Wii version, i Want to know if you can use 2 USB 360 instruments on the Wii(two ports in the back of the console).
If you guys have a wii with Wi Fi connected, then you see whats going on with Metroid Prime 3. There is a Preview channel, this is the first game nintendo has done that with. I think it will have DLC for the game after it comes out, but We'll see. if it does, then theres your answer to if the wii version of RB will have DLC, if there is a wii version. Metroid prime 3 would have online, but they wanted the story to kick ass. so if harmonix can pull it off, then RB Wii may have online.
