Their new 'American Idiot' stuff IS terrible. Most of their songs in there are usuallly random verses of words following a f**k or a sh*t. >_> It's all too generic.

I'd like to see something from Dookie or even International Superhits! They'll probably be at least a 70% chance of them being in Rock Band WITH an American Idiot track, though, since MTV is a part of RB, and MTV are whores to Green Day nowadays.

yea there older stuff is way better american idiot did have some good songs on it.... but it didn't follow the meaning of the album as much as it problably should have. i think that basketcase would be the best song to put on there.

Actually I think American Idiot is their best album. I've listened to Green Day since 10,000 smoothed out slappy hours.

Concept albums are just awesome to begin with, and it's their most polished effort, despite the MTV whoreage that was mentioned.

Good to see a positive voice for Green Day. I've enjoyed their stuff since way back, but I really enjoy concept albums, and American Idiot is a good example. I can play the entire album front to back and enjoy every song, although there is a bit of reptitiveness to it.

I saw them in concert, and they were excellent, although they do use some gimmicky stuff (drunk bunny, plants in the audience, etc).

I'm all for Green Day DLC.

I was a big fan of their old stuff. I think it would be fun to play. Since the chances of getting something off of 1,039/smooth... or Kerplunk is slim to none, I would like to see Welcome to Paradise since it was on Dookie, but on Kerplunk as well. I think that song would work really well for the game as well.

i was a fan of dookie. i think welcome to paradise would be a good choice too. i forget what album it was, but i always enjoyed rockin out to hitchin a ride.
like someone mentioned though, a more likely choice in RB would be something much more mainstream. something that topped the charts, or a more recent single.

1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is really 2 EPs (Slappy and 1,000 Hours) and a CD of theirs called 39/Smooth combined.. :D Good CD, though.

I do agree that if they're in the game, that songs from 1,039/Smoothed or Kerplunk probably won't be in. It'll be later stuff.

Oh god, Harmonix, please NEVER put Green Day in any game you make. Green Day is lousy excuse for a band, and their music is horrible. We don't need to make them think they're in the same class as classic rockers that have real talent.

when i was younger (still in school) i used to have the same mentality "such and such band sucks..." if i didnt like certain songs or sounds a band put out. but then i got older and listened to all kinds of music and realized good music is good music. sure i dont have to like every single thing i hear, but it's not hard to find something decent by a group. just think of all the one hit wonders. sure id never put them on the same list as great bands, but if it's still a fun song why wouldn't it be worth including in the game. dont be so close minded. theyre making the game for everyone to enjoy. not just you.
