How do you activate star power and how does the five-way switch work?
I know you scream into the mic in the green sections and it activates star power.
For drums there are special sections
But, what about guitar/bass? I heard you press a button and I heard you tilt the guitar as always.
And
The five-way switch.
It activates when you activate star power. But, there are four digital affects.
Echo,flange,chorus and wah.
Is there one for each instrument?
Or are they all for the guitar?
When you activate star power with lets say the guitar. Does it activate just the guitar's digital effect or all of the effects for all the instruments?
AND
What exactly is wah and flange?
AND
Witch effect goes with witch instrument?

You're a senior member here and you haven't seen this aspect discussed by both fans and HMX?

Well, here's what we know.

Starpower, like the other instruments, will probably be activated at the end of the freestyle solo sections (much like Drums and Mic).

In terms of the five way switch, it has NO bearing whatsoever on gameplay it's just to add effect and some cool stuff to RB. The five-way switch is ONLY for the guitar. Since when have you heard effects being used on bass or drums (there may be some drum effects out there, but it's rare).

Effects are not dependent on star power and can be used anywhere. The five settings are as follows:
1) Default sound
2) Echo
3) Flange (Not sure what it is but I'm sure a quick search of wikipedia can be enlightening)
4) Wah Wah (Wah Wah pedals are quite common place in Rock, search for songs including it for examples)
5) Chorus

That's what we know. Again, the effects are ONLY for the guitar, are active whenever you want them, and star power is at the end of fill sections

There may be vocal echos, that hasn't been announced. However, what was heard there (I'm not positive because it's been a while since I watched that video) could possibly have been an echo caused by the recording equipment or the way it was recorded/encoded/mixed.

Since when have you heard effects being used on bass

2 words, mate: Bootsy Collins.

If that's not good enough, I know Geddy uses effects. Hell, Les Claypool uses heavy distortion, bass overdrive, and I saw him use wah on Conan.

Myself, I plan on getting an overdrive pedal and a wah wah pedal. Trust me, man- bassists use effects all the time. If they don't throw in effects for the bass, that'll just make the part all the less wanted.
