Release Date made somewhat official by IGN?

IGN posted their revision to upcoming release dates for ALL platforms.

They list Rock Band as being released on November 20, 2007.

Don't know if this is old news or has been discussed too much, but I'd usually think that they wouldn't post concrete revisions if they weren't... you know... concrete. They would just put November.

Nothing has been formally announced by Harmonix/EA as far as release dates. It'll hopefully be known by the end of the month after PAX.

That was posted in gamepro (I think, I can never remember which magazine) and it isn't actually official, but it is a possibility.

Nothing has been formally announced, basically it will most likely be some date in November.

Yeap!! Nov-20 is also the tentative date that I have seen thrown around, dont know much if ist a "concrete" date, but I kinda make sense since Harmonix has stated that it will be available for the "Holidays".

i love the way there is no mention of "worldwide release" or even "european release" they just announce the american date.

november 20th was always the unofficial date, then when gamepro published november 6 as a release date i believe it was hoped by everyone that it was the new revised release date since it would mean we get it two weeks earlier. we'll just have to wait and see. hopefully we'll get a pleasant surprise when the announcement is made.

IGN and the other gamesites are always happy to post rumored release dates. In no way does it make it official. Until Harmonix says something official, it isn't.

Guys, you have to understand. November 20th is the ESTIMATED release date. Gamestop and EB Games just made up that date because it was a good estimate, almost like the very middle of Fall, which Harmonix said would be the release (Fall 2007). The rumor has just been so widely misunderstood that tons of people are mistaking it for the real date. No one knows. It's all estimates.
