I hope Harmonix will include music from Ry Cooder in Rock Band. Ry was named the 8th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, and his work laid the foundation for a lot of modern rock. I won't pitch any particular songs since my knowledge of him covers mostly his Captain Beefheart days, and that might be a little too weird for RB.

If I can't have Ry Cooder please consider David Lindley. He was absolutely brilliant in the 70's when he pioneered a lot of weird and interesting guitar techniques. His work with Jackson Browne is probably his most well-known stuff but El Rayo-X also warrants attention.

Cooder and Lindley hold an important place in rock music history. Since Rock Band is being used as a platform to introduce players to rock history I think it would be appropriate to include the work of at least one of these guitarists. As a bonus, these guys are relatively unknown nowadays so their music would be a pleasant surprise for gamers.

Thanks.
