So right now i have 48 songs downloaded and the game takes about 2 or 3 minutes to load all of the songs. If I'm going to have over 100 songs on download one of these days HMX will have to create a patch or something to help the game load faster. 3 minutes for 48 songs becomes 6 minutes for 96 songs and practically 10 minutes of loading for 150 songs. I don't want to sit 10 minutes in waiting for my game to start.

The reason it takes so long is because of the DRM. It has to check that the songs you own are really yours via Xbox Live. So... get faster internet.

I just disconnect from Live. Not an option for people who care about the leaderboards, but it drops the loading time to about 10 seconds. ( I have all the DLC)

I have all the DLC and a fast connection and it does take forever to check all the DLC. Is it really necessary to have to check the DLC every time? Why not just check the DLC when there is a change?

Is this a 360 thing? I have all the DLC (111 total songs) on the PS3 and there is NO slow down starting up the game. It's the same now as it was on day one when I had no DLC. Score one for the PS3! Finally... :D

I've downloaded 28 songs and noticed a pretty significant slowing of the DLC load time. I don't want to have to disconnect and reconnect or anything like that. I have frickin' broadband cable internet, too. It doesn't get much faster than my connection speed. It shouldn't be taking this long to load already. By next year, I'll have to fire up the game and go make a sandwich, eat it and go take a leak while it loads.

Yeah, it is a crappy live thing. Takes so damn long to verify. You can't just disconnect because then your scores won't update or you can't play online. Sure it's fine of you're playing with friends, but if you're playing alone it sucks.

I'm sure it's nothing harmonix can help, though.

If your on xbox just clear you cache file once and awhile made mine a little faster . The xbox.com forums have a step by step on how to do it.
