Ballroom Blitz : Worst Song on Rock Band?

Me and a couple of friends went over it and we think Ballroom Blitz is probably the worst song on Rock Band.:D State your opinion.:)

I actually enjoy that song a lot. It is fun to play on guitar, and it is awesome to sing. The drums are meh, but still fun. Honestly, Celebrity Skin is my least favorite song. God I hate Courtney Love

It's pretty bad. That's the sole reason the newer DLC song by Sweet wasn't downloaded by me (one of only 2 or 3 DLC I hadn't bothered with). It was just so bad. They should've at least used the Tia Carrere version from Wayne's World. Or even the Krokus version from GH:80's. Because this "original" version by Sweet is just awful.

Ballroom Blitz is one of the songs (along with Dead on Arrival and Sabotage), we pick to reign in a new vocalist lol. We like using Blitz most 'cause they know what to expect from Fallout Boy and Beastie Boys, but they don't always expect Ballroom to be so... unique.

I don't really dislike the song, but it's certainly not on my iPod (and not a song I play regularly). It's one of those mid-teirs for me that I'd forget if it weren't for the vocals.

Well, in Rock Band, it's a cover of the Sweet version. They should have used their Krokus version. Tia Carrere's version was claimed as one of the 100 Worst Cover Songs.

People actually hate Ballroom Blitz? You've got to be kidding me. It's such a wonderfully corny/cheesy song that it is awesome. It's my staple song to sing at parties since I go CRAZY with the vocals. Everyone has a blast from what I can tell.

You probably just hate the song since you have a horrible vocalist that won't get into the song. In my opinion, Ballroom Blitz is easily the most 'party' song in Rock Band.

Fall out Boy song Dead on Arrival is hands down the worst song I have ever had the misfortune of playing on any band/guitar simulation game. It sounds as if the band members just sat down and started hitting things and thats what they came up with.

Out of the many utterly bad songs Rock Band has, Ballroom Blitz is NOT one of them. While the Sweet cover is pretty mediocre, there is other stuff that is much worse. Celebrity Skin by Hole, Dead on Arrival by Fall Out Boy, Welcome Home/Ten Speed both by Coheed and Cambria, Attack/The Kill both by 30 Seconds to Mars, Dirty Little Secret/Move Along both by All American Rejects, Main Offender/Die, All Right! both by The Hives, are all prime examples of lesser-quality songs in comparison to Ballroom Blitz. Popularity does not guarantee skill or quality, and those bands I mentioned fit that description entirely.

Don't hate the Sweet.

I actually voted that it was one of the best, but I misread and thought you meant "Blitzkrieg Bop" which is one of my favorite songs.

Still, I like Ballroom Blitz too. On the solo drum tour it's the first one that really challenged me and it's pretty good practice for DftR and RttH. And it's amusing to sing on vocals. And come on, it was in Wayne's World. Classic. And people at parties haven't hated on it nearly as much as they do "Dead on Arrival" (which for the most part has been dead on arrival... ironically I think it's not that bad either, but my guests absolutely abhor Dead on Arrival).

Your list of worst songs is pretty much some of my favorite. Im not alone through my vast group of friends 15ish people who come to play on Thursdays love most of these songs.

Ballroom Blitz worst song in Rock Band? I beg to differ. While it is not one of the best, it is definately better than quite a few. I absolutely love the vocals and the drums are enjoyable. The only part I dislike is the guitar part, but thats only because I find it so challenging and I would rather sing >.>

I think the cover aspect of it is what sucks, the song kicks balls though. I just hate the way the singer sounds in the cover. I think the cover version of the song they should of went with is the Wayne's World version with Tia Carrera.

ballroom blitz is a fantastic song, it was half the reason i went to see kung fu hustle. Either way, the krokus version annoyed me somewhat in 80s but that was OK. The problem with this version is that it's a straight cover of sweet, this is a problem because ballroom blitz has the absolute campest intro in the history of the world and can only be pulled off by sweet themselves. Otherwise it's an awesome song

As for the worst, I'm putting my chips on sabotage. I like the song to listen to, but it's a chore to play on all instruments, so i'd rather not. i used to really dislike when you were young in gh3 but it's not so bad if you get to sing along, so that gets a save, though really I have to wonder what's up with using when you were young, as killers songs go it sucks ass, even singstar had mr brightside at least.

I can't think of any others that are terrible at the moment because the optical drive on my ps3 is borked so i can't, specifically, remember the fallout boy song (not necessarily but, just completely unmemorable), but i will say that main offender and celebrity skin are fun songs for everybody to get into.

*Gasp* Didn't know it was possible for someone to hate Bang Camaro. I hated I Get By and and Outside at first but they really started to grow on me once I realized how to play them. Electric Version is a blast on drums but crap on guitar so it's bittersweet when it pops up in BWT. Can't Let Go makes me feel cool when I drum it so I'll defend it. Bonus points for the chump and chumpette. If you could have fit pimpmobile in there you would have won yourself 1 internets.

But back on topic. Ballroom Blitz is one of my favorites. Cover isn't nearly up to the quality of the master but who could possible sound like Sweet? Worst for me:

One of the things about polls like this is that they are so subjective. I don't like rap. It doesn't mean rap is bad, it just means me no likey.

However, this time I agree. I don't care for the song, never have, though the Krokus version is more betterer...er than the others. I actually dislike The Electric Version and a few of the unlockables even more. I don't know why I dislike the New Pornographers song...I think I just don't care for the vocal style. Doesn't do it for me. It sounds like someone is plucking hairs off a Chihuahua's scrotum to me. Yeah, I went there.
