Arguably the greatest guitarist of all time. Has great music. What is it that is keeping him from getting on Rockband?

Well they probably have to choose between a bad cover or not at all this time. I'm sure it's not cheap and if it was a bad cover not as many would buy it so maybe they just don't think it's worth it. Just a guess based on what happend with GH 1.

The people who hold the rights to the Hendrix discography are likely protecting his music, as they should be. They are preserving his legacy. And as much as I want Hendrix in Rock Band, I think it's a good call. Most likely Harmonix would be forced into making a cover, and no one wants to hear someone cover Hendrix.

I would Welcome
any version of Hendrix Original or otherwise. This game opens up Musical experiences to people and kids who have never heard the music before. I believe the Hendrix Family are Doing Jimmy Great Disservice by making His music as inadmissible to new people as humanly possible.

as much as i love hendrix and would like him on RB its not gonna happen. in GH1 the hendrix song was originally recorded w/ the words also, but his family doesnt want anyone to impersonate his voice so it was taken out.

I hope we get some Jimi. All Along the Watchtower (although originally a Dylan song) would be awesome. As would Purple Haze or Voodoo Child or any of the other tons of Jimi songs we all love

damn, i do agree that people who don't let rock band use the music are making a big mistake. in every music game disc there are always tons of songs i've never heard before. you might laugh but i always knew of the greatful dead but never really listened to them before rockband... they have some pretty trip-ass stuff goin on... i liiiiike it. it opens a lot of people up to new music.

but yeah if a crappy cover version of hendrix is all i'm gonna get... i will settle for it!
