Good question i dont think so because if that happens then its not a Full Band plus does the Computer's singing give you any points ? I will sing for my band if i have to , just turn down my vocals and turn up the original or cover vocals.

Well, considering you can have any combination of instruments, you probably don't even need a singer. You can have drums w/ bass, bass w/ mic, guitar w/ bass, guitar w/ drums, guitar w/ drums & bass, etc. etc. etc.
There are tons of possiblities, and if you don't have one, or two of the four, don't sweat it.

You can have any combination of people up to 4.

To play world tour mode, which is the band campaign, I'm pretty sure you will need 4 people. If you and 2 of your friends want to play songs and not sing them, that is fine too, no one will have to sing, and you will still hear the vocals, just like what would happen in single player, all the other things you aren't playing will be played as normal.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I could have sworn they said you need only at least 2 people to play multiplayer. Maybe that's just quickplay, I'm not sure.
But in those cases when you're just rocking out just the 2 or 3 of you, the computer will fill in the rest.
For example, no guitarist? You'll hear guitar, but won't see a fretboard. No singer? You'll hear the original vocals, no lyrics on top, etc.
Like I said, this could be just for quickplay, but I know it said somewhere that you only need 2 or more.
