the future of music games.
With GHII and RB the guitar and bass in covered the mic is to b/c of singstar and kareoke revolution but what about the future? The drums are the only new deal. With these basic instraments already used what other instaments would pple want to play with in a game?
what music fanisys are there?
True this is looking 4-5 years in the future but could gamers really want a Flute Hero?
What about a game where you use turntables? Is this really even possible?
Your ideas are welcome.

The turntable thing has already been done by Konami as Beatmania, which has about million or so variations in Japan. One release in the US, which I bought, it is a fun game but it is hard. And, I guess it was not well received in the US, since no further US releases have been announced

I think there should be more FREQuency/Amplitude games. I want to play Setting Sun by The Chemical Brothers, that one doesn't quite work for GH or RB.

Personally, I thikn the future of music games is not just about adding more instruments/peripherals, but about going into greater detail about what it means to play & create music.
I'd love to see a game that makes the leap from simply mimicking your favorite songs, to learning the fundamentals of music keys, chords and rhythyms. A game where, once you've gotten good enough at it, you could start performing, mixing, and recording your own personal music that you could share with others.
