Well, me and joetaylor (me on his behalf) have been debating what we wants in Rock Band. We'll keep it realistic (so two singers is out of the question)

(Joe is shouting "HELICOPTER BY BLOC PARTY" at me btw)

We need the effects switch to actually have a point. Like the whammy on star notes giving you extra star power.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We want a game where you can just pretend. We don't wanna learn drums or guitar or ANYTHING to this game. We want to escape to this game after a long day of revising for our tests (WE'RE BOTH COUGHING REALLY LOUD) and just have fun, and rock. I know HMX are trying to do this, but we shouldn't take this for granted.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Simplicity is the key. Keep the gameplay simple. We want drums to be easy, and the same learning curve as guitar. If its not, it will be unbalanced.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upload videos of yourself playing via Xbox Live Vision cam or PS3 Eyetoy or w.e.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Music to be 80p each, and £8 for an album
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Radiohead and Muse in the songs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To have it released by early december in the UK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To have the whole pack under £150, drums and game for £60, the same for guitar, and £40 for mic and game.

Yeah, i go agree on pretty much everything he said. But the word "want" is a bit, well, cold and heartless. In some cases makes you sound like a 5 year old kid after a toy. I'd rather change to "we wish" because i know that people say "the customer is always right" well not if their wasting your time and being fussy people i suppose :)

I don't like your chances of a release early December. I'm down in Australia and for some reason we get lumped in with the Europe release dates. I spoke to a leading Australian supplier and they stated that they expected a release early next year after it was put back from November this year.

Awesome ideas. Although the release date shouldn't be pushed at all. When ever it's complete and has all bugs Fixxed, it's ready for release.

Cheers, and yh, you're right bout the release date. I mean, tbh, i just want the game out with like 10 songs at a bargain price and the rest ud buy online, then they could have released it earlier, but ah well.

Eh..

I would prefer to really learn how to play the drums and for the drum learning curve to take way longer than guitar.

Keep me interested for longer!!!

1. For it to come out at the same time as GH3

2. Tool being in the game (The Pot, specifically)

3. For Cake to be in the game (Distance, please)

4. For Slipknot to be in the game (Vermilion, please)

5. Tiger Woods-esque create - a - player in the face region

6. A battle of the bands mode online where people take their turns playing a song and are judged by their peers to see who wins (this one might be a little singer reliant, but then again, what band isn't, unfortunately)

Too add on to yours:

*Battle of the Bands
*Consistently released DLC. Not spotty like GHII.
*As hack proof as possible.
*No yearly sequels
*A wide selection of Fender controllers as time goes on just to add to that personal feel of owning an instrument.
*Box(es?) to hold everthing in. No more cheap äss bags.

I'd rather have expert mode in drums replicate the song note for note and only by limitations of the hardware have something not exact.

If you want the drums to be easy, play easy mode. Don't play expert mode.
