As for myself I'm going for broke, because I never played guitar hero before so I need to catch up with all the big boys....but since I work a lot of hours during the week, I guess I can manage about 15.:(

And then everyday after school from around 4pm-10pm

And then on the weekends with my friends all day long. Band career on Expert twice in a day and a half.

And then online for a couple hours a day.

Yeah, I'll probably have 50+ hours of play in about a week after getting it.

I have tuesdays off from work, so assuming I get it at 10 am when I get my pre-order when the video store opens and and I have to go to work at 10 am the following day that would make 24 hours.

I think I'll be playing from day one up until the moment I fall asleep (I fell asleep playing video games lots of times. I just tried pushing myself further through the game until the moment I blinked {eyes closing, fell asleep right there}). Then the same thing will go on for about two months on and off with Guitar Hero III.

Yes... months before the game I'm gonna be working out a timetable for how long im gonna play it... like all games, ill play til im bored or some other variable e.g. im hungry gets in the way.

Learning to play guitar hero is painful but rewarding, because watching youtube videos of some guy getting 100% on YYZ and you still trying to move up to that famous orange note on Monkey Wrench is not the most fun. But when you're sitting there, putting hyperspeed mode on and playing Less Talk More Rokk with the best hammer ons i've ever seen... life's gd.

But with online, this will stick with you a while. My Live runs out soon...

Unfortunately, RB will be played around Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Metroid Prime 3, Mercenaries 2....oh man this fall sucks. Plus, put in my fall classes and...well...crap. Christmas break will be fun though!

The real question is how many hours I'm going to have to spend doing all the other things I need to do. I think at least for the first few weeks I have Rock Band through winter break I will be playing it during any free time I have. This means when I'm not sleeping (which will be minimal with Rock Band around), eating, or doing school work or going to classes. Also all my time spent with friends (if all things go according to plan) will be spent playing Rock Band! I figure I'll be playing a minimum of a couple hours a day. I have no class on Fridays, Fridays will be devoted to playing Rock Band, and most likely Saturdays too.

I'm more excited about Rock Band than I am about Halo 3. I've played the Halo series and I'm great at it, but this is so new and fresh, it's awesome.

Well, I can't speak for the day its released because that's still up in the air, but I do know that if it drops on the week of Thanksgiving like its rumored, I will be over at my friends' house rocking it solid for 24 hours. We're decorating the place up with Xmas lights, fog machines, disco balls, and stage lighting to give it the ultimate feel. We've come up with our band name (withheld until game release), we've polished up our guitar playing with GH2, I've modified my drum technique to work with the layout of the drums, and we've all been brushing up on our singing abilities. This game is going to rob my life, soul, and wallet. I can't wait.
