Well, I was at my mall today and EB Games FINALLY change it's signage to read "GameStop." Does anybody still have an EB Games in their area? I heard about the buy-out quite some time back, but mine stayed EB Games up until recently, so it seems.

I noticed an EB Games in Waltham changed their sign to Gamestop quite recently. Not surprising at all. I'm surprised they didn't do this earlier.

I was at the mall here in Orillia (just north of Toronto) a few days ago, and it was still EB. Maybe it's changed since then. I'll let you know next time I go (to put money onto credit for RB, of course!)

The one in the Burlington Crossroads is a Gamespot now too. Not like it matters, they've been the same thing for a while.

EB Games is still around. I got one in my mall, right next to a Gamestop. Weird stuff.

I actually hadn't been to my EB in over a month, so I don't know when the changeover occurred, but it was one of those crap plastic-y/styrofoam signs and you could see the holes in the wall where the "Electronics Boutique" sign used to be held into the wall. Hopefully they'll eventually get a "real" sign (backlit).

No it's not, it was completely absorbed and integrated into GameStop's corporate values and practices. EB Games exists only in name, and as a deception to loyal EB goers.

Down in Australia we haven't even heard of GameSpot.
But we do have EB. Dunno if that's all owened by GS, probably.

yep, we still have them in Charlotte. The merger happened back in 2005. I went to both the EBGames and Gamestop conventions that year and it was kinda funny. The slogan for them was "better together" but at the EB convention, pretty much none of the managers were too happy about it.

You're right. It was like a divorced parent introducing you to your "new" sibling. You didn't really wanna like em' but you had to.

Burlington Crossroads eh? Where are you from?
I'm from Woburn, but moving to Billerica this Friday.
Also, they changed the EB in the Burlington Mall to Gamestop as well. So that makes 3 Gamestops in less than a 5 mile radius lol.
