Feel free to post some stuff that you would like to see implemented into the game.. 1.) In-depth character customization.2.) Features that make your band look and sound unique. 3.) Organized clan/band setup 4.) Customizable practice space for band uses. 5.) Online-exclusive rewards like apparel , trophies to put in your practice , guitars , etc..etc.. 6.) Allowing others to listen in followed by a simple voting system to which band they prefered. 7.) In-depth system that allows a band to make their own songs and use them in competition. Tis all for now! :D

This game isn't affiloiated with Guitar Hero at all, it's not a prequel, sequel, addition, or add-on to Guitar Hero at all. Guitar Hero is not even a thought to this game, so no that suggestion won't work, although admitely it'd be cool.

I think it would be awesome if the new guitar controller used pressure sensitive buttons on its fretboard. Like on a real guitar, press it too light and the sound is slightly lower pitched and softer than it would be if you mashed the crap out of the string. Perhaps this would even allow for complex tapping techniques to be used.

I don't know whether the band can jam original tunes or not; but if so, a more 'analog' guitar seems like a good way to approach it.

The inclusion of a tactile feedback device in the guitar controllers would be cool too. I'd like to feel the notes resonate through the bass guitar as I play them.

There have been many advancements in tactile transducers in the past few years and this next generation of home gaming consoles are still using old technology. Companies such as Guitammer, Crowson Technologies, Aurasound, and Clark Synthesis Tactile Sound have really taken the tactile aspect of entertainment to new levels. I have just recently bought a Buttkicker Gamer for my gaming chair and have
fallen in love with the new 'presence' of the low end frequencies.

If the controllers are to be strictly wireless, then this isn't much of an option as more power is consumed and weight is added. But if the controllers can be USB powered, I could see people really digging the experience of having the feel of the shred in their hands.

-Customizable and upgradeable equipment, sometimes taken to the extreme... (from a floyd rose, to an LED fretboard, to a flamethrower in the neck of your guitar)

-Customizable pyrotechnics and light shows for the big shows

-The ability to bend notes from the fretboard instead of by just using a whammy

-As other people have mentioned, the use of pedals. I could see this as a hard thing to implement into the gameplay though.

-Reputation points based on skill of playing, and the "cool-factor" of your gear

-DOWNLOADS. DOWNLOADS.
My friends and I have been talking about this ultimate game for a while. What we would like to see is an in depth post portion of the game. We should be able to record our tracks, mix them, add effects, layer different instruments, add samples, so on and so on. It should be like dumbed down version of protools much like how guitar hero or madden are accessible versions of playing guitar and playing football respectively. Once we're done making a song we should be able to share it with people over the internet like you could in Amplitude.

In order for this to work, one thing I'd like to see is the ability to freestyle on tracks. One of the comments I've heard about the guitar hero series is that they play the song and they tell you when to press the buttons. It feels like you're playing the song, but you're just hitting the buttons at the right time while the song plays. I would like it if you could play the song different or just play the guitar, drums, bass or whatever without following along to a backing track.

Asside from this, I would like eyetoy or next generation eye toy support to create avatars that look like you in the game much like the character creator in the karaoke revolution series.

It should make use of PlayStation Home and X-Box Live in a way like you tube where users can post their own content and vote on what they like.

That said I'm sure whatever Harmonix comes up with will be great. I've enjoyed all their games and this seems like the logical conclusion of everything they've been working on. I'm so excited for this game. I feel like it's really going to be revolutionary in the same way youtube is and I can't wait to see live shows of "rockband" bands.

Introduce a 5th player who acts as security, using the g-con gun to shoot crowd members, or as i said on another thread, zombie crowd members. The better your band plays the less zombies try to eat you. lol

Online Cometitions are a must, preferably location specific, winners go into a worldwide contest?

Other players will want to view these competitions.

Customisable characters would be a plus

Interesting Single player mode...
Give us some power metal. I'd like to expand on two things discussed in this thread:
1. A competition
What if, in the competition, the top X number of bands were allowed to pick a number of real bands, and, depending on that team's placement in the contest, a set number of those bands were petitioned to submit tracks for the game?
2. HMXWhitestar19
You, sir, are the strangest and most colorful member of the development/staff community I have yet to see on the forums. No real point here, aside from that you seem to be a rather unique member, and I like to think the developers of this game as odd as those of us that play it.

How about a studio mode where your band "records" the songs it feels are it's strongest.
Each instrument could lay down their parts seperately and after each is finished a total "score" can be tallied and money/fans/stars can be earned for good play. A little luck would have to factor in as well

It is interesting that many of these wishlist suggestions (character creator, massive downloads, etc) have gone on to become reality. Others not so much (someone wanted a sub-$100 price tag... not quite feasible).
And it doesn't quite look like Whitestar's face made the box cover. (Unless he's secretly one of those silhouetted characters holding the band instruments.)
But seriously, what's up with bumping an 8 month old thread? Thanks for the trip down memory lane, but no thanks.
