HMX Nirvana Nevermind PLease

I am inclined to make a desperate plea for DLC that will most likely bring me ridicule or flame-age. I have waited for months to get the Nevermind album, and I am closing in on the time of need...ok, want. Every year we have in my family what we call the "Guys Weekend" trip. It's where all the guys in my family go up to this cabin we rent and hang out and do guy stuff (shoot guns, BBQ, drink, and fart). Well, this cabin now has a 55" plasma with full surround sound in it, and we brought the xbox 360 last year with us. We desperately need this Nevermind album to jam out to for 3-4 days. I know my plea will not be the deciding factor for a release, but maybe if enough people post here, you can prioritize it for us! I am leaving the 2nd week of March, the clock is ticking!

Well, if the supposed March DLC that was printed on OXM Magazine turns out to be true, then I'm afraid you're out of luck my friend. UNLESS they happen to throw it out to us as a complete surprise, and as EXTRA DLC as opposed to taking the spot of a 3-song DLC week release, then your only hope before you leave would be next week. And that is really up for grabs at the moment.

BTW. I forgot to explain my post before. The entire month of March has officially/unofficially been announced already (leaked from OXM I think) which would only leave next week available for a release of Nevermind before April. :(

Yeah, I am sure someone will post and use one of those variants, but I could give an damn. This is my reasoning for wanting it, and I try to stay optimistic that it might happen. If it doesn't I will still love the game and play the hell out of it during the trip, it would just be nice.

I like both bands and would buy most of Nevermind depending on how much it costs but ive been waiting for Who's Next Since before RB came out. The Who are funner to play in my opinion. Keith Moon is the greatest drummer ever, John Entwistle is The greatest Bassist ever. Pete has some amazing solos in Whos next and Rodgers vocals cant be beat. Sry just think The who are funner

I would totally take Nirvana over The Who, and I am pretty sure at 29 I am older than a lot of people around here. I am not a fan of The Who. I am sure when it comes out for DLC that I will buy it, but it's not what I am waiting for.

Nope, not Mt. Charleston, this cabin is in Payson, AZ, but I was just at Mt. Charleston with my wife for Valentines weekend at a cabin in Kyle Canyon. Are you from around the Vegas area?

That's quite the cabin, the one I frequent in the summer has 2 beds, a wood stove, a propane fridge, a wind up AM/FM radio and playing cards. Nothing to do but fish and explore the rocky northern Canadian forest terrain. It's so peaceful and beautiful...

Yeah, it is actually even better than that. It has the tv and surround sound, but it also has a pool table and bar area (liquor not included unfortunately). This is all downstairs with two bedrooms, and upstairs has the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and a master bedroom. It also has ATV trails off the main road, so it is pretty nice. There isn't any fishing close which sucks, but we are more into the entertainment value anyways.

I wish the one I go to had dirtbike trails, the only problem is that if it actually did, it takes a 40 minute boat ride in to actually get to the cabin anyways. I think I may have a hard time convincing my girlfriend that we need to make room for my YZ in the lund. lol

Everyone on this thread keeps assuming that DLC albums will be an "either or" proposition with the 3 DLC a week. However, we know that HMX is working on the albums in parallel with the 3 DLC a week. So the work being done on the album must be in addition to the work required to maintain the 3 DLC a week pace. There's nothing stating that the albums won't be released in addition to the "normal" DLC schedule. One could make an argument that they wouldn't want to overshadow the weekly DLC, but everything regarding this is (please correct me if I am wrong with a link) just speculation.

Even if that were to be the case, since the future schedule has been officially clarified as "tentative", if an album finished up and was ready for release HMX could push out the schedule by a week to slot the album in. They have all the flexibility in the world to do this and anyone who *****ed that (for example) the NiN pack was pushed out a week would be drowned out in the general mayhem that the first album had been finally released.

I honestly have no idea when the first album will be released at this point. But until we hear something definitive from HMX, I continue to believe that it could be released at any time regardless of future speculative DLC schedules.

When the "March DLC" was leaked, we were told that everything was subject to change. Some people listened, and some people didn't. So, this doesn't mean that "March 18" is now open. No chance. Harmonix tried it once, no longer are they gonna sell us out with cheap 30-song games for $60(hopefully)...

But the reason this DEFINATELY won't happen is because HMX themselves expressed the interest to go on just DLC for RB1 for as long as possible until making a sequel, so making add-ons is out of the question.

Could be. April wouldn't be too bad, it's not that far away, but I don't know if HMX would be that deep about it. I am just hoping we hear something soon. I am still hoping for it in the next couple of weeks.
