Hmm, except for the fact that SOE deals mostly with PC-based online games such as EverQuest 2. I don't think this announcement applies to games on the PS3 console, even though it is a Sony product. Could be wrong, of course, but that's what it looks like to me...

Most press releases are just marketing BS. A press release about an upcoming product or feature is useless without an upcoming timeframe for when to expect it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this has to do with pc for stuff like everquest II. The tech is already there anyway for voice chat, harmonix/EA just needs to patch that in to the game.

Right on, saw that on Kotaku yesterday, and while it may be an option for the future, it looks like they'll do PC first and even then who knows when it will be implemented. Still, might be good times into the future.

They should just license and port Ventrilo to the Sorny. Done. It's the best voice chat client anyways.
