Underøath has dropped the ball a bit with their lyrics lately but I'm surprised a lot of you are gunning for them to be in the game... considering they're a Christian band. I mean I'm for Harmonix adding more Christian work, but had no idea they were this popular in the secular realm.

a song like Understand in a car crash by Thursday would work since all the screaming is done as backup to the main singer (Geoff doesn't usually do the screaming live, the two guitars and keyboardist do) so they could either do it with the screaming not done by the vocalist or do a song with minimal screaming. Reinventing your exit and I'm content with losing come to mind for Underoath.

While I don't agree with the FOB comment ( Come on, the second and third album suck pretty bad, but the first cd was nice, solid pop-punk. It's better than 90% of bands that try to do that kind of thing nowadays), he's kinda right about Hawthorne Heights.
They're the most uninspired band I've ever heard, and for as many people that call them "emo" their vocalist sure does look AND sound like a coma patient whenever he's singing.
And Change of Pace is just blah. I don't like them all that much.

But yeah, Chiodos and Thursday and UO would be mighty nice on this here game.

give me a break man...we have wayyy worse than HH already on RB...and that is some lyrics from ONE of their songs...their first album was alright but I admit that after that, they went downhill

and as for A Change of Pace...the song I listed is the ONLY song I like by them

and I am by no means "Emo" or whatever all this s*it is considered, I just happen to like a variety of music but mostly classic rock (see sig). So excuse me if I am not on the up with all these bands and what is considered true "Emo", "Screamo", or whatever...

i thought of another song that would seem good to rock band. i think that this would be good because the Guitars and Drums are very active during the song so no one would get bored and the vocals are pretty good and theres no screaming.

Grateful Dead, Nirvana, The Who song packs and then a collection of random songs by the same friggin bands that are already in the game! All this request crap is just so we feel like a community and feel like our opinions matter. How many people do you think requested Juke Box Hero or Truth Hits Everybody? Don't get me wrong they're fun to play but I'm sure other songs have got requested a million times more. Do you think out of all the Smashing Pumpkins requests that Siva was on the top of the list? C'mon! I love RB and I'll keep buying the new DLC cuz its almost always good but these requests are just a waste of time. We'll see how long it takes to see any of these bands:

Thursday, I'm not too crazy about. But I suppose that Understanding in a Car Crash would make the most sense, as someone stated.

I seriously doubt that they would get their own packs, but maybe a genre track could come out with some of the bands that everyone else above me mentioned. The only problem I see would be the vocals. Although, the screaming was handled pretty well for The Kill and Attack, imo.

I'm a 33 year old music Junkie in every sense of the word. As much as I enjoy the older stuff and grew up on it, Unlike most guys my age, I didnt quit following new music 10 years ago and don't consider "Seether" or "breaking Benjamin" new rock. Its garbage IMO.

I will bump this now until I am blue in the face...... Thursday is the main reason I started listening to this genre of music (I was put onto them during my graduate work in college and my friend who was in a band told me to check them out). These three bands, along with some previous posters' suggestions, i.e.

The Used (Bert would be a great pleasure to sing)
Silverstein (just recently got into their music, although not a huge fan of their newest album)
At The Drive-In (One Armed Scissor anyone?)
Chiodos (I would add Is It Progression.... as well)

But in all actuality, there is a good chance we will see one or a few of these bands in Rock Band, under the niche-new and up and coming/obscure artists to broaden peoples' minds. I was shocked to see them put out 30STM, so maybe we could get our voices across.

I agree 100% with the original poster, so let's hope some of the lesser voices get heard instead of 1000s of people complaining about how the Who album has been pushed back.

It'd be Thursday. But thats just because I'm biased. I can't stand underoath and chiodos just because they're not very good musicians. Plus Chiodos would be incredibly hard to hit on vocals. And I don't really like how chiodos calls themselves hardcore. Hardcore died back in 86.
