Wieless Guitar Hero Guitar on PS2..........

I know I can use the WIRED guitar hero guitar for Rock Band. But I can't seem to get a wireless guitar hero guitar to work on PS2. Am I hooking it up wrong? Or is it incompatable?

I have rockband for the ps2 and ps3 and I have used the wireless guitar hero guitar to play rockband on my ps2 so I know that it does work. I didn't do anything special, I just hooked it up as I normally would have.......

I'm also using a wireless Guitar Hero Controller for PS2 with Rock band as a second guitar. It's a white one made by Red Octane. I think it's the Encore model. It has a white dongle that plugs into the player 2 controller port on the PS2 and works flawlessly.
