These are all the songs from your list that I can tolerate. The only one that fits Rock Band well is Tarantula; all the other bands have much better songs.


Stairway to Heaven is a horrible choice for Rock Band for reasons I've had to repeat far too much. (guitar repeats ten seconds worth of guitar for 5 and a half minutes; almost no bass, no drums for the first four minutes)

Yeah. I still like the song, but it's getting to the point where I want to bust a head open whenever I see anybody suggest it. And I should not get so worked up over songs that random people are suggesting for a music simulator game. So, um, sorry, trevordude.

Of course Immigrant Song is almost as bad. It repeats four seconds of guitar and doesn't even have a good solo (or, rather, any solo) like Stairway.

So is Kashmir. It's as long as Stairway, and just as repetitive. Kickass song, though.

of course i love kashmir, stairway, and immigrant song. but they wouldn't work well. black dog would be good though. my point is that you shouldn't suggest just your favorite songs for this game, but songs you like that would be good for the game. my top smashing pumpkins pick is Geek USA, but if it was for favorite song i would want Disarm in the game.

There is NO need for personal attacks on anyone because of the music they like. And there most certainly is ABSOLUTELY no need for the kind of bs that is happening in this thread. Everybody just chill out. The OP was putting down what HE/SHE wanted to see in the game. Whether you agree with it or not, that's fine, but it's how you guys are starting to approach these threads that is really starting to bother me (and I'm sure a great many other people)

Yeah, it's great to be a musical snob, I most certainly am, but I don't go around belitting people and, for all intents and purposes, calling them idiots for not liking what I like. Otherwise, I'd never post here because everyone here has at least 1 song on their list I really hate.

If you're going to comment on a list, make your comments CONSTRUCTIVE and WELL-THOUGHT OUT. I've had enough of this "Well, I hate your list so you must be stupid" kind of attitude that has suddenly invaded these forums. People who criticize with no back-up reasoning make me sick and give a bad name to music lovers.

There we go, not so difficult is it? I expressed my opinions on his list (some of it, I don't remember it all off the top of my head) without degrading myself by flaming him and calling him an idiot. A little politeness is all that is needed, show some class. Always remember, that everyone has VERY different musical tastes.

It's very clear from all of your posts that you are a major musical snob, firmly believing that the music you listen to is the be all and end all and nothing else is any good and anybody who doesnt' agree with you is an idiot. This is neither an appropriate nor healthy view on the subject. I too am a musical snob, as I firmly believe in the superiority of the music of The Who (and the spiritual enlightenment it can bring) and classic rock, but I most certainly do not begrudge those who express differently. I'll debate with them until I'm blue in the face about the merits of classic rock over the demerits of modern rock, but I will never, ever resort to personal attacks and insults, for those are the tools of someone who can not form a coherent arguement to back up their point.

Finesse and class:


Fall Out Boy doesn't fit this game. Their songs are instrumentally simple, and they don't really appeal to the game's target audience, people with taste in music. (Ice burn, with class)

As for Stairway to Heaven, that is an awful choice for Rock Band (and also Guitar Hero), considering that the guitar repeats ten seconds for five and a half minutes. Freya didn't even repeat that much. Also, there are no drums and little bass for the entire first four minutes.
