Pitch indicator missing

This started a couple weeks ago, but I don't have the pitch indicator arrow anymore. It doesn't show up at all. Any ideas? I've tried changing the USB connector around and resetting the box, but still nothing...

Is the microphone registering at all? When you don't see the pitch arrow, do you still get credit for singing? I find that my arrow disappears if the mic isn't picking up what I'm singing because it's too far away & I have the sensitivity set low because I tend to belt.

Yes, the microphone registers and you get credit for singing....albeit "messy" credit since there's no arrow. At first, I thought is was due to going to a harder level, but I went back to easy and still no arrow.
Any other suggestions?

I got my game out of the box and the pitch indicator wasnt showing up at all. I then tried my XBOX360 headset and it works so I think the issue is with mic. I checked all the sensitivity options and they are all on high and nothing but the headset works so Im looking into getting a replacement. I also plugged it into every usb port and the ports are working as the guitar and drums work. Hope this helps.
