I thought that this article (http://machinist.salon.com/feature/2007/08/15/guitar_hero/) might make the guys at Harmonix smile...
Pretty cool article talking about how some kids are developing an interest in rock/music at an early age and want to learn how to play the real guitar thanks to Guitar Hero. Good stuff! Read it!

I remember an interview with ex-Drist guitarist Marcus Henderson, in which he talked about leading a "rock revolution" if you will. By kids getting into rock music and it being fun again. A whole new generation of kids who want to play guitar are going to emerge and hopefully make some kick-ass music!
And Guitar Hero is seriously accomplishing that. I think that Rock Band will turn kids on to the drums even more so, due to the similarities of the controller and actual drums.
In an era where so much is manufactured, studio driven, polished, pop candy, it's good to know that there are still kids who want to grab an axe and shred to some rock and roll.

Yeah it's really cool. My neices (8 and 15) really like the GH games. Both of them have their own guitars now and are learning to play for real.

Hey that's exactly what happened to me! Except, I'm 26. Man, I should have learned to play guitar at an earlier stage... then I wouldn't have to learn right now...

I really love that Guitar Hero has become so popular, it has really helped to bring people back into Rock music, which is awesome.
My friend is a good example, he hadn't listened to classic rock in so long, but after playing the game at my house and getting hooked on it, he can't get enough of it, he plays actual guitar, and plays it really well, and he has been trying to encourage me to pick up a guitar and play, and I'll probably end up doing it soon, I really would like to. I want to make the jump from playing guitar in a game to just playing guitar.
