I don't if this was talked about already but I was just wondering, do you think the game will have a mode where you create the music with the drums on your own? Sortof like drumscape in the arcades? I think that would be a great mode to implement.

This has been thrown around. As of right now, most likely not. But a patch or something in the future, no one knows for sure.

Yeah, people have wanted that in for a while. They also wanted an improv guitar too. The guitar one, though, that is pretty much impossible. Considering there are 21 frets per string, 6 strings. That makes 126 different notes. Not counting power chords and chords. There are countless amounts of possibilities, and only 5 buttons (10 if you count the bottom 5 buttons).
Drums are definatly possible. Guitar, highly doubt it.

126 different notes? There are 126 different places to play a note, but you can play the high E 5 different places (open E, 4th B, 9th G, 14th D, 19th A).
Really it's 21 notes on any string that can be played + 19 that can't be played on another string = 40 notes. That's still over 3 octaves, but hardly 126.
Throw the guitar into playing a petatonic scale, then your five buttons map perfectly. For the uninitiated, petatonic scale have 5 notes (hence peta-). Then map fret pairs to specific chords. It's possible...

It would be pretty hard, period. Maybe if they had like a set key for each song and you could improv during a song using the same key as the solo and do your own, that would shrink the number of notes considerably.

I don't know about Guitar being free-form. Drums could be (although a bit limited), and I would like to see them free-form, but I'm not so worried about it.
I just want them to crank this game out already. This waiting feels like if your parents made you go to bed at like 6:30PM on Christmas eve, and you can't wait til' the next morning. You sure as hell can't sleep, so that's a lot of hours hanging out in your room (i.e this forum)
