View Full Version : EL Drums/Strat Guitar mods?

I only play on medium-hard right now, but already I'm noticing that my drums arn't quite as sensitive as I'd hoped. I find myself hitting them so hard at times that I feel like I might be on route to putting some permenant damage into them because of their lacking sensitivity.

What kind of mods can I preform on my EL drum set to help sensitivity, and/or anything else that might make them better. For example, any information on replacement bass pedals would also be nice; is there a real advandtage to pedal replacements, cost, etc.? Also, would "gum pads" or any other method of silencing the pads make them far less sensitive (my major gripe to begin with)?

Also, I really can't get used to the Strat guitar. The fact that it doesn't click really bothers me because it provides no feedback. Also the upstrum seems to require more force than downstrums. Any advice on that (or is my guitar broken?)?

Thanks in advance!

The up strum is stiffer because it is not broken into quite as well as the down strum.
